And loose said gear which when you add all the cons together I don't have to deal with this mess in BF3,COD, Dayz2, PS2,

10. Yes, this definitely needs work. As does awareness of where you are and what you are fighting for from the Dust side.
9. Gameplay is not at all like TF2. TF2 is much more of an arena/arcade shooter, with no consequences for death.
8. I'm pretty sure Dust is meant to largely siphon ISK from the EVE economy when they allow the ISK transfer from one to the other. Capsuleers are meant to be filthy rich, and they should spend that money hiring mercs to do their dirty work. If the Mercs can farm ISK from running pub matches, then why would they want to take the Capsuleers' money?
7. EVE has had several graphics overhauls in its lifetime to make the best use of hardware improvements over the years, Dust will be the same.
6. The Dust team was hired to make Dust, the EVE teams work on EVE. Development for EVE would be going as quickly as it is now, without the Dust team's existence.
5. And I'm sure CoD:MW7 will be made some day, and Halo 14, and so on. Dust is an MMO and has a more meaningful progression and free expansions in the same way as EVE. This is what all those disposable FPS's are lacking, and the games can not be compared in the same way. The FPS kids that change games every 2 weeks are going to move on, but a whole crew of players looking for something more meaningful will remain. I can attest to this because of the very active Dust players I have inside my corp that have told me so.
4. This mechanic definitely needs an overhaul. Waiting around in orbit for a team to get war points is not a good position for an EVE player, and I relegated the duty to my own alt. If CCP wants an EVE connection to be a meaningful advantage to the Dust guys, they should be permitted to call in strikes every 5 minutes or something, to help the bastards on the ground even if they are getting smoked. And a kill-cam of the battlefield to show the devastation would be cool for the bomber...
3. You don't have to sort gear if you don't want. But it sounds like you don't want an FPS with depth and complexity, so you are probably not the target audience for this game. You can easily jump into a match and play with the existing Militia suits as you would with any other FPS.

1. Yes, this sucks, but you can use a KB/M on the PS3, so the play style is identical (minus custom controls, but they are on their way.)

Stop being bitter and embrace the great addition to EVE. I can't wait to see how this game grows and the two compliment each other over the years. CCP is going to have to build their own convention center to host all the people for future fanfests, that's for sure.

that is the question.

Actually, initially, I was irritated about DUST not being released on the PC. Before it came out.

But then I actually tried it on someone else's console.

Its really a ****-poor attempt at an FPS.

I tried it, then played a few rounds of BF3, then tried Dust one more time.

Why would you subject yourself to Dust when there are much better games out there?

The only people I can see this appealing to beyond the inital buzz:

Long tem EVE players
- who also happen to own a PS3
-and are willing to subject themselves to playing a bad FPS, just because they like EVE.

A subset of a subset of a subset.

Just think of the cool things EVE could have had by now - had they not thrown all these resources down the rathole.

When DEVs come on here with excuses about why it will take YEARS to simply overhaul the POS system, just remember.....

DUST.

My suggestion?
Next time you see Dust players in local chat, USE it to tell them exactly what you think of their inbred type.
Just use small words - they ARE console users after all.
