'Squirrel Fishing' needs to be banned!

For those of you who don't know, squirrel fishing is using a cyno and a sling bubble to trap pilots who go to investigate the situation. What is becoming alarmingly out of control is using this next to a deathstar pos with hundreds of abandoned drones at the edge of the sling bubble. So if being dragged through the pos shield wasnt enough, the drones will decloak you. Effectively creating a trap that can not be countered. What makes things even worse is they use this very pos as a midpoint for their jump freighters.

So, in order to stop their effort free logistics we warp cyno dictors to the cynos to catch the jump freighters only to find out it is nothing but that stupid bait cyno. Another issue is they runs the bait cyno for hours and hours, day after day. So much that eventually no one bothers to check it out anymore. So their jump freighters are even more safe because everyone assumes the cyno for the jump freighter is bait.

Something needs to be done.

Im trying to make a serious troll response...but im laughing too hard at you for falling for one of the oldest traps in the book.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

So they have come up with an effective way to protect their logistics ships, by convincing you to avoid their cynos. I agree something needs to be done. They need a freakin' medal.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Yeah, you need to shut up and learn to play the game.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Is this not a good example of emergent gameplay?

Hmmm this sounds like a fun idea really. I can see hundreds of POS's going up right now just for lulz.

Word of advice for OP. Your biggest problem is using flimsy destroyers to investigate. I suggest using a carrier to scout the cyno out.

they really should put a directional scanner in the game so you can warp to a planet by the cyno and scan.

I tend not to go to null much (too much stuff i cba with) but surely its just like hisec and lowsec, in that you can select "Warp to within X km"?

Wouldn't warping to 100km mean you're outside the bubble's pull range?
