Look, another person who thinks he knows how the game works, and can dictate how other people play.....how cute....Shocked

And lol, at having to fit a special module, just to use drones....How many other weapons system require that?

Yanks? Check your map, lad. Blink

Come spend some time in the "Great White North", on a frozen lake in the middle of winter, and we'll show you how it's really played. Fresh bodies on the ice are always welcome.

Football is known as football in every non american country around the world. It's a little ironic you would refer to it as a "slow paced game" that is played by "pansies" yet american hand-egg players wear mountains of body armor and have long breaks every few seconds to essentially play a bad version of rugby.

Sir, you are the first individual I've encountered who actually knows the origins of the term "soccer". It's amazing how many Europeans become quite upset when a lowly American educates them on the history of "their" game. It should be noted that the earliest known use of "soccer" was in England, not America.

I take exception to American football being called "handegg" unless you opt to refer to Rugby by the same term. Both are games which fall under the category of a game played on foot with a ball, hence "football" (as opposed to games played on horseback).

The funniest thing is that I flatly refuse to watch professional level Football, it's not a particularly entertaining sport at that level, amateur games are much more entertaining, with less drama queens.

Give me Rugby and Ice Hockey any day of the week, I've played both at a competitive level (county and local teams) and enjoyed them immensely. When they closed our local ice rink and hockey team down, a few team mates and I switched to inline roller hockey, and promptly got banned for being too aggressive, turned out body checking is not a legitimate tactic even though they like to call it a full contact sport.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Hahaha, who fed you that one? Did someone seriously say I was kicked? I remember they wanted to kick me for shooting goons in Burn Jita, and they wanted to kick me, for shooting neutrals, who were blue a week or two later, because they were too stupid to check the players corp history, and see that he was neutral when I killed him. They were pretty freaking butthurt about that. They were also butthurt because I left bpinc 'without saying goodbye' (Some period of time previously). Apparently making a big fuss in corp when you leave a corp is preferable? Infact, the last time I left ED, I forgot a couple toons BLHI, and had to come remove them some 4-6 months later, because no, I was not kicked. But if that's what your friends are telling you, I'm laughing my ass off.
This makes the entire thread worth it. Well, aside from all the soccer tears.

PS. Clerence Thomas is pretty damn alright. I'm pretty sure if you talk to him, (he was my CEO while in ED last) he will confirm to you that you've been fed a load of bull. Don't take my word for it, take his.

CCP, ban this before it takes over like that Harlem shake thing. Please put the word 'hue' into the filter until this blows over.

So would golf be CartClubBall or FootClubBall? not everyone uses a golfcart

and how would that be different from the aformentioned field hockey as FootClubBall?

perhaps another modifier for where to put the ball, making it FootClubBallHole vs FootClubBallNet?

but then what's the difference between Golf and Pool? or would Pool be FootStickBallHole?

jeez I'm confused

Look at this marvelous hue. I've never seen a hue quite like this hue. Where did you get this hue, Hugh? Did you hew through the outback to get this hue from a rare spot? This hue should go anywhere a hue can go.

Making highsec safer will not make the game better. It will make it even more stale and boring than it has become. What it lacks is proper conflict drivers, and common sense between highsec dwellers on safe fitting/hauling guidelines.

Ratting with drones is not harder post Retribution 1.0 in december, it is easier. Fit an ecm or RR module, activate it, and all the rats will stay focused on ships activating Ecm or RR in regular anomalies and most missions.

You're welcome.

How much do you guys charge for Titans? I was wondering because you are in PLs super building alt corp.

Obviously you haven't seen what about a third of the field sports around their chins.

Though the actual answer is that the name is derived from the school who first played it which was Rugby school. They're a bunch of toffs but they managed to come up with a good game.

Your best bet is to send the corp CEO a mail ingame. He'll be better able to provide quotes.

As someone who has played football, american football and rugby, and has an admiration for hurling and ice hockey I dont get why people have to put the other down.

Football is the most popular sport in the world, regardless of whether its played by pansies or not. It's not just about how big/fast/far you can kick/throw something.

Rugby is hard, and brutal. Played by men, but requires nowhere near the technique required for football.

American football is not just rugger in pads. That analogy actually quite annoys me, but thats probs cause I hear it all the time. I prefer it to rugby because of the playcalling/strategy of it, and the sheer force of the hits. Saying that, it is the easiest to play if you have no talent at all.

As much as i admire hurling and ice hockey, I lack the testicular fortitude to take part in these sports. Throw gaelic and aussie rules in here too. Great sports, but the players must be bloody nutters
