Several weeks ago I put in bot reports for 34 clients named "Replicator Exa1(to 34)". No action has been taken yet, and even petitions fail to remove these obvious bots from the game. Now another swarm of 32 clients named "Alphaclone psi 1 (to 32)" have entered the system.

All 34 pilots dock and undock at the exact same time, all warp at the same time, and do so all day. Shouldn't take so many weeks to take action. They are killing the market.

And in the mean-time, to those smartbombing pilots, a free 34 mackinaw/retriever kill is awaiting in Misneden.

Believe it or not, that sounds to me like someone that isn't botting. If you want to ruin their day, try bumping them away from their roids. ;-)

But you should still consider the smartbomb thing. If that even works anymore? That's a loooot of HP to smart bomb...

What Kate said. They could be using ISboxer or some other application that CCP has repeatedly said is acceptable.

Not that I particularly agree with their ruling that copying a command 30 times is any different than scripting a command to cycle 30 times, but that's where CCP draws the line.

I did bump them and prevent them from warping several times. Breaks that character for about 30 minutes before it gets sucked back into the cycle.

Get some dudes in 100mn mwd tornadoes and go bowling. It's a good way to pass the time.

The best way to tell if they are botting is to gank one.
Let concord kill you and let the timer wear off.
Go back and see if the pod is still there.

If it is, they are botting.

Pop the pod for good measure.

Someone just working that ice belt hard. Wasn't there a thread not long ago with a video of that being done? Included the depletion of a ice roid.

If they're using similar names and all converging in the same place, then it's more likely that they're not botting. It simply draws too much attention. As others pointed out, it's very likely to be a player using ISBoxer - especially if they're mining ice.

Now if they were all running L4 missions independently from different stations, then I'd be very suspicious...

You should apply for a position as botter hunter at CCP Big smile

Hint: there's a slight possibility he might be AFK, you still get the pod though.

Fit 100mn MWD to Talos with overdrives and speed rigs.
Overheat and plow thru miner blob at 8900m/s+.
Repeat until all are off grid.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Wait for them to warp to the station. If they come back in the pod and try to mine then you know you have one.

Congratulations you found a multiboxer. If you want to learn how it works check out this thread for some examples

or a easy screenshot from the thread above if you don't have a dual-boxing forum account.

Senior GM Lelouch verified that software and hardware multiboxing is indeed legal in Eve in this forum reply to my eve-o thread:

Hello there,

To make a long story short, automation of gameplay is not permitted; players must be manually issuing the commands to control their character(s) at all times.

Our stance on programs such as Synergy and hardware/software combination such as the G15 keyboard is that they can be legitimately used as long as gameplay isn't automated. Synergy allows you to move your mouse cursor to multiple different monitors which are hooked up to different computers and we do not have any qualms with players using the program for this purpose. If Synergy was used in some way to control your accounts for you without a need for you to be at your keyboard, then that would not be allowed, but I am not aware of such a functionality with this program. If Synergy is used in conjunction with some other program to automate gameplay, it would not be permitted. G15 "macros" which allow you to group different commands into one keypress are allowed. For example, setting your G1 key to press F1, F2, F3 and so on for you with one key press is allowed (although this specific command is not as useful as it was before now that we have weapon grouping).

An exceedingly complex G15 macro which would effectively automate gameplay, such as mining, without a need for the player to be present at his keyboard would be against the EULA, regardless of whether the player utilizing said macro is sitting at his keyboard at the time!

Lastly, multiboxing is allowed, and programs designed for multiboxing in mind which allow a player to manually issue the same command to multiple game clients at the same time are allowed. In the same vein as what has been stated above, the player must be manually sending the commands; if a program is automating those commands for you, then it would be considered a breach of our EULA.

I hope this clears up this matter.

Best regards,
Senior GM Lelouch
