Has anyone played this game? I'm interested in it for the RPG and the gory aspects.. but the mother stuff and the fact that the little guy is crying because his mom wants to kill him is quite disturbing to me.

Might be because i lost my father when i was young and therefore i was raised by my mother alone and the two of us are very close to this day, so its depressing to me to think what if my own mother would try to sacrifice me when i was little boy

Its also supposed to be a frustrating, luck-of-the-draw game like Contra.. and by God these things are indeed frustrating..

Opinions?

I think that no matter what people say here, you'll still be curious enough to want to play it. I say go for it.

Got it, played it. Well, think zelda gameplay. The first one for NES, except you're only going through the dungeons. What you get and for exploring the dungeons is randomized, same with bosses, so it takes luck somewhat. :s

Had bit of fun, but only for few days for 2ish hours each. Its a nice concept for nostalgic feeling, alot of zelda game reference. Not a game you could play over a week.
