Make T1 production more like capital ship production.

Something that has bothered me is the simplicity in building T1 ships/modules. You add this and that. Put it in the oven. And out comes a Typhoon!

Looking more at how capital ships (T1) are built, you need to actually build all the different parts, such as engines and drone bays etc. I would like to see this apply also on sub capital T1 ships (and modules).

Your thread title says to make it more like T2 production.
The OP says make it more like Capital production.

Which are you actually asking for, because they are nothing alike.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Even in T2 production you need to add armor and thrusters to upgrade a current hull.

But yes. I meant more like capital ship production.

You have a point.

T2/Capital shpis are somewhere a lot more complex and bigger, so it would somewhere explain why it is parts being put together. I'm guessing too that it is so, so that there is actual "work to be done" than just "oven cooking". I agree with you on the part of T1 vs Caps production.

I would only say that it would only make sense to introduce stuff like that if we as producers could control whatever result we get at the end. So if I were to toss something special on top of that T1 recipe of materials, we'd get something else or special. Unfortunately, it is not like that for T2 or Capital Ship Production (at least from what I know).

I'm guessing that the mats for T1 does that job of building those special components already for you.

I agree that nothing should be that simple in EVE (I really want more smarting up rather than dumbing down), however it might not be that great to complicate what is working unless there are some cool things behind it. If we had more special/unique ships to build out of these Lego(tm) components, oow, I'd be all in for that fun.

Somewhere, maybe you could tie that together with that "Patent" BPC/BPO thread? Probably complicated, but since there needs to be some use out of components-assembly, maybe you can expand on that. Anyways, just see if there could be a real use out of making sub-cap T1 production require components.

Using tablet, typoes are common and I'm not going to fix them all.
