Your whining hasn't destroyed anything for me, I just find myself frustrated ...

What makes you think I am whining?! I said it before and I say it again: I have turned it off! It means that I know how to help myself, girl, and that I am a big boy, who does not cry. Now, what are you going to do about your frustration!? Is there perhaps anything I can help you with?

It helps to take the rest of my post into consideration.

I feel so 'emerged' in the game now that I told my gf to warp to the kitchen to fix me dinner.

Now really...useless crap...

What is it with people not understanding the nuance of trolling? It's not about being as offensive as possible. It's about subtlety.

Please remove the new animation when you set destination, it delays the info (whether or not you travel through low/null) you want to receive.

(And please re-add the Jukebox as an option. The new music system is an objectively bad change.)

Did you actually try it? It is just a wild zic-zac on the screen and each time you jump does the screen flicker and the lines are somewhere else. Roll It is not as cool as I thought.

i guess you have never looked at guns on your ship too? they (3D models) are useless too Lol

Kinda liked it the first day, after that i was just indifferent about it.
Didn't know you could turn it off, not gonna do that but, it's good to have options.
Looks like devs put "almost no time" in it to implement, so it doesn't hurt to have, but it's no big deal either.

I have, but one needs to zoom in very close to actually notice them. I am then always surprised when I read in the patch notes about some weapon not sitting right or intersecting with a ship's hull. This must be really important to some. The 3D models in the info to the guns are also pretty and yet useless. When was the last time you have looked at those?

What I do like and find useful are the engine trails, because they give me information about where a ship is, into which direction it is moving and how fast.

The zic-zac lines in space remind me more of a horoscope than of anything else. The idea of star gates was never one that had any particular 3D direction. One simply jumps from one place to another. This could be jumps across the entire universe and back for all I care. It has just nothing to do with a continuous trajectory in the sense of Newton's Laws, but I see it as a "quantum travel" and so the lines are purely imaginative.

I'd probably liked it more if it was not lines but numbered star labels (without any lines in between) and just a flickering to indicate their location and ordering.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

I love the Dev who did the lines in space also.

I love having this feature, I always keep it turned on and I shall never turn it off Blink

Almost none is the result as well...

Congratulations CCP BunnyVirus, you just trained Zig-Zag Drawing to level 5. No further training required. Now you can start the specialization ones. Straight, curve etc :D

If they'd manage to draw a line from the target gate in the current system to the star in the next system, this feature would be perfect in every way.

^ This would be great. It initially took me a little bit to figure out the route visually since your next-hope stargate isn't included inthe path

Also would love to see an option to display the start points' system name. Perhaps in a font that's not as bold as the local celestials and in-space objects. Maybe use 80% opacity so they're not visually competing with what's local.

Perhaps one could make the stars within a 4ly-radius into brackets.

Err yeah ok because funny little red lines on my screen do that....

So 3 days went into this? Jesus, I want content and fixes not "Etch A Sketch" in space.

The problem with subtlety is that most people can't even spell it let alone understand it.

Pulling out my starmap and unflattening it, then comparing the shape of my route to the one shown in space, gave me even more appreciation for this little flavor feature. It is honestly very cool.

So what if it is useless? New shaders on ships is useless too, didn't stop CCP from doing it though. And I wouldn't want to go back with that change either.

This was discussed by one of the developers. It took 3 business days.

Makes you wonder what else they could have done in 3 business days.

They could have recorded a new HTFU video with CCP's Permaband. Seems to me like not enough pilots have seen the first one.

Duh ....

Nav lines are the coolest thing in Eve since the "clear" function for chat windows. Well done! I like them so much that I'm not going to read anymore forum posts just now, I'm going to go and set a 30 jump trip and look at the stars =-)

Looks pretty but the dev time could of been used for something usefull.
