Get Socket closed at Character select probably 90% of the time... that or it just sits at a blank character select screen...

I had this issue as well, except mine said "exefile.exe" instead of "eve.exe" but I'd wager the solution is the same. I didn't have anything running either other than the launcher, but I opened up task manager in windows, went to processes and found the one it mentioned. I ended the process and then tried the launcher again and it worked fine.

Yes, eve is very glitchy in many ways after 1.1 and 1.1.1 but this is one of the most, no THE most inconvenient one and very annoying indeed, d-scan is now a pain in the butt. Please look into this asap.

Also after logging in and loading current station it takes couple of minutes to load and it gliches like crazy.

Since the new patch, CQ is taking amazingly long to load.

What's up with that? It took 3 seconds before the patch, now it takes a minute.

Edit: today's update didn't fix it.
Someone once said I was a muppet. If that's so, I'm quite sure the Swedish Chef is my brother.

Hail ammunition can only be used by small tech level II Autocannons. this applies to Hail S, M, and L

So this patch (according to the patchnotes) didn't fix the issue with containers or NPCs.

Good job CCP.

Tears will be shed and pants will need to be changed all round.

You do realize it is Tech 2 ammo?

  • Having loading issues when logging into the game. The loading screen delays for some minutes.
  • Furthermore i can see some randomly visible artifacts in textures and text fonts.
  • And at the end, the game is lagging often for parts of seconds.

  • This is not a good patch...

    Skill queue got it's knickers in a twist, and stopped - then a full window (of the training queue) bar appeared, followed by
    "You cannot train that now, you must train the lower level first"
    A stutter while nothing could be done, followed by the lvl1 version of the skill (Drones) completing, with attendant bells and whistles...

    The API decided that there was no training on that account at the time as well!

    After a short wait & hitting "Apply" everything returned to normal

    Judging by current Q.A. standards: what else have you broken but not tested?


    And why oh way are you changing things that work fine, while ignoring known issues!

    CCP current motto:
    "If it works change/break it.
    If its broken, sweep it under the carpet!"

    Could Klang take the (now rotting) pizzas & the launcher out as they leave the building plz.

    my client freezes after about 10-15 minutes ever single time. wether I'm mining, or sitting in a station browsing the market, the freezes are random, annoying and you can practically set your watch by them. its not a matter of IF its going to freeze, but how much can i get done before it does freeze. Im running OSX 10.8.2, i have safari running in the background, and a bit torrent client. sometimes i have a video converter in the background as well, sometimes i dont, wether i do or dont doesnt seem to have an affect on the EVE client crashing.

    So after Retribution 1.1 was implemented, logging into the game (straight into Captain's Quarters) seems to take several times longer than earlier in Retribution 1.0. It basically gets stuck on the "blurred Captain's Quarters in the background with a white LOADING-text" state for around 30 sec and then eventually loads the environment. Logging into Ship Hangar is as smooth as ever though, also transition from Ship Hangar to Captain's Quarters is pretty smooth too.

    Is this a known issue that Captain's Quarters load slower if you log in straight into them?

    I'm having a character portrait bug. apparently my new portrait is updated in the forums and killboard etc. but not in game. I still have my old portrait in game viewed on both my main and my alt.

    and when I go the character re customization screen it is completely black, and I cant do anything

    When salvaging, selecting a can and clicking the "access" button does not open the can itself anymore but the ships cargo...

    (Yes, I am within 2,500m, yes, i have all my checkboxes checked and yes, it did work properly yesterday)

    For some reason the 1.1 patch seems to be causing some minimized eve clients to become unresponsive after about 30-45 minutes. This doesn't seem to be an isolated issue with hardware since I am experiencing the same behavior on a couple computers with very different hardware configs. Additionally, the characters will remain logged in even after the client has stopped responding.
