Intergalactic Summit

Scharena is sitting in a dimly lit room, behind her is a scale model of a Leviathan and next to it is what can only be described as an abstract looking sculpture, the camera drone's feed flickers slightly as she sits on the chair in the middle and composes herself. She reaches up and adjusts the drone so it is pointing directly at her. She clears her throat and takes a sip of water from a tall jug shaped vessel and begins:

"To the citizens of the State. My name is Scharena Saakkaitoh-Svain and I am 26. I am currently not living in the State but I keep a keen eye on the goings on.

In this capacity I am not speaking on behalf of my current employers. These are my own views and do not reflect The Paradox's views.

So I will start by telling you that I am not of pure Caldari blood but before you switch off your feeds in disgust I would like to borrow your ears just for a moment. I come from a small metal working family. I was, before I became a Capsuleer, a hard working Civire who only knew how to work for the State. I was aware that as a Caldari I had a duty to serve and eventually I knew that I would also have to protect. So I joined up, I went to the SWA and I trained to be a Capsuleer.

It was during this time that I learnt through various DNA tests, to make sure I was a Caldari, that I was not just a Civire but that I was in fact a mix of Sebiestor and Civire, some how my "father" had managed to keep this from me, I will not go into the details I'm sure you can imagine, naturally this spread across to my class mates and they made sure that they punished me for being who I am right up until I fled to the Republic in search of the other half of my family just after graduation."

Here her voice cracks a little but she clears her throat again and takes another sip of the water, she continues:

"So that is where I am today, kind of, I find I still have strong feelings for what I know to be my true home. But lately I have been observing the State with increasing disgust.

The stories I am hearing of the atrocities committed by the Provist forces have upset me. To think I have have been considering making a return to the State. If that ever happens I will not be seeking employment with anyone who supports Heth and his Provist forces.

Heth has clearly lost all sense of reality and in my opinion has lost all sense of Protecting the State.

Unlike Heth, I still have the idea of Serving and Protecting the state hardwired in me, I can't seem to shake it and increasingly I do not want to. I just hope there will still be a liberal bloc to return to, should I desire. I would defend the likes of Ishukone till my clones suffer from madness and I am forced to retire."

She looks solemnly at the camera and gets up to switch it off, the feed closes with a soft fzzzt sound.

I don't understand what this Otsitothing is actually for.

There is nothing disgusting about you being of mixed blood, what matters is your ability to make yourself greater than what you started with. Those who chose to sneer and beret over race and position are not honorable enough to be considered true Caldari. Its the will, sense of duty and selflessness that makes one a valued member of the State, not who their mother or father was or from what planet or race they come from. I myself am of Khanid and Civirie blood, my mother a political slave in the court of King Khanid and my father a Perkone representative to the Kingdom.

The Provists racial agenda is distasteful at best and disgraceful at worst. Its in times like these that true patriots of the State will make themselves known and will be there to pick up the pieces after Heth paper dragon collapses under the weight of his own actions.

I for one hope to see you return to the State and be apart of the resurgence of a strong and true meritocracy.

I think he understands the joke. I've got a 500 million bounty from the first round of public idolizing of Caldari men in the Summit and you have to admit Pieter and Verin are similar enough for the joke to work twice.
