I wonder what happens if you try to drag a DUST person into wing command.

will check it out tomorrow, and fix if needed Smile

Patch notes for EVE Online: Retribution 1.1.1
It is no longer possible to attempt to invite a DUST 514 Mercenaries to an EVE Online fleet by dragging their portrait into an open fleet

eheheheh Lol

yeah, nicely spotted, thanks Smile
You could actually never get a Dust guy in your fleet, but the invitation was sent and then it just timed out (but reserved the spot until then which was bad)

thank you for a great game

Agreed, hierarchy mode default would make things easier, especially for newer players that don't really understand chain of command due to the current default flat mode.

True... I didn't mention it in the blog but the hierarchy view is now the default Smile

Can flat mode also be enabled in the fleet window?
As nice as hoerarchy view and drag&drop is, it consumes quite a bit more space now.

Yes... click the menu icon in the top left corner and select "view as flat list" in the menu Smile

I would like to see a symbol in the fleet cells that depicted the highest fleet skill each member has trained (leadership, wing command, fleet command) to make it easier to tell who has the proper roles when sorting out fleet boosts. That way we can spend our time on strategy rather than sorting out roles that could be done by one person

Big smileI love this change I really really do. Seriously a thousand thanks.

However I also would ask that you allow the ability to hotkey tags and suggest the following as it works quite well for me in another game with swords, orcs and blood elves. Use the numpad keys with normal key stroke applying the respective number and a modified key stroke assigning a letter ie; Alt 0 is A with alt 9 being X and - being align to with + being warp to?

Sorry I did not quote the other person that also asked for this change but 5 minutes of searching for their post was my limit Sad

P.S. I realize that using the + & - key on the numpad for align and warp to broadcasts is awkward but until I read the post asking for that this morning I had not given those option any thought this was the best i could come up with in my currently caffeine deprived state.

Flash player is meant to crash, that is it's primary function.

Karkur and team, absolutely awesome stuff, thank you!

I hope they read this. There should be a secondary window that asks you if you want to move X player into position X. I could see myself mismoving certain players into different spots. The way to fix this is to make the FC spot a bit bigger than all the others and scale it down accordingly. SO FC would be twice as big.. WC 3/4 of FC SL 1/2 of WC and squad members smaller than others. I see me moving players into the wrong spot all the time ;(

CCP karkur:

Any chance we can have a multi select option in chat windows? So control+click and / or shift+click a list and then drag?

Or how about being able to right click a chat channel and "invite to fleet"?

Better still: Open a channel list, and (using your exable) drag the channel named "CCP.sheild" to a wing. The list would auto-populate as long as there are enough squads.

I get that ppl are passionate about change. I post here to plant seeds. You see your idea as is? Holy **** you win! So let's post, and see what the DEVs and our peers use.
