Logistics to Combat Cruiser Ratios

I am curious about the use of logistics cruisers in small pvp gangs similar to those used in faction warfare. Given a small gang of 10-20 armor cruisers (Mallers, Ruptures, etc.), what is the right mix of Augoror/ Exequror support? I've read that exequrors excel where the gang is smaller (3-5), whereas the augoror shines in larger fleets when utilized in a cap/rep chain. Thoughts?

common practice is roughly 1/3 of the fleet is logi.

So for 10 cruisers, 3 logi etc..

Some folks are more ghey than others though and I've seen 20 cruisers with half of them logi right down to 2 logi for 20. Depends what you are fighting in the end.

Gang <=20 shouldn't have more then 3 logi. Anymore and your FC should just rename his ship, "i'm a risk adverse pansy who doesn't actually want a fight"

Also Augorers in much the same way as Guardians are typically always better.

Thats not actually at all true and it depends on the fleet.

In kitey arty ruptures we only run like one Scythe, because its all about damage mitigation through range, in brawl fleets a 1/4 ratio is pretty solid, with 3 being a bare minimum.

I would also say that overall Augorors are better than Exeqs, however the Oneiros is good now, just FYI.

This makes no sense at all, why would you not want a fight? Do you basically mean "you shouldn't bring a good gang to a fight, because you might win"?


In answer to the OP there is no fixed ratio, it depends on the enemy gang, if they have little/no logi you want enough logi to tank their gang and then some DPS. This might mean 12 logi to 8 DPS ships, so be it. If they are also logi heavy things get a little more tricky and you have to tread a fine line.


Having enough to tank the hostile fleet is rarely a bad call, having any more is a waste.
