Gem mining.

Rare gems to be found in losec. Special gem scanner in hi slot used for scanning asteroids.

Gems then used in T2 production of laser crystals.

Gives a nice role for the mining frigate (Venture); a new profession for new players that is high risk but easy to get into (and yields nice isk). Gives losec pirates something to shoot at.

Move mining to grav sites. Leave some asteroid belts full of veldspar for PvPers since "meet at top belt" is pretty much a staple for roaming gangs.

Walk among some of the teams and get updates on where they are and what they are looking at next. See how the internal design team is going with graphical refits and have a look at the internal playtest server and look at new and upcoming design features. Leak that I have done the above but not tell anyone what I saw. I would be doing this for my own curiosity.

I'd make warp stabs work against spheres.

The problem isn't being in null... the problem is the macro-bot Falcon at every gate leading in and out of it.
