thanks to everyone for doing this podcast it was great to hear from all the wh candidates and get to know them and their stance in great detail. I'm pretty impressed with most of the candidates and felt like in general, all the candidates had similar positions on issues and could each represent the majority fairly well. Good luck to them all, of course I'm a bit biased towards Chitsa but I would feel pretty good standing behind most of these candidates if any of them get voted or made wh primary.

oh and ffs how hard is it to say "AYE-SON" damn you guys need to listen when people introduce themselves and say their name.

Nice discussion, helped me cut the pool down to 2.

PS:
"Can you fly a tower of win?"
"Yes but I don't have one cos they're sucky"

Best line in whole thing ;)

Thanks for a very interesting pod cast!

Two Step says that he will not be hosting a WH-primary event, as he does not deem it neccessary. This suggest the voting system is going to change in a way that we don't need a primary to be sure of a WH CSM member. In the CSM minutes of december, CCP Veritas suggests the Schulze method voting system in which we can list all candidates in order of preference. If this will be used, then by simply putting all 5 WH candidates on top of our lists, we will vote at least one of them into the CSM.

In the podcast there is mention of maybe these 5 candidates fighting it out in a cruiser tournament to determine a primary. I'm not convinced all those 5 are actually willing to step down for 1 winner, since some are hoping to gain votes from other non-WH areas. And since the voting will probably change, negating the need for a primary, why would they?

Go have a tournament, it will be lots of fun, the interaction will be extra input for us to make a choice and PR boost is nice. But don't tie it to stepping down.

Edit: new voting system dev-blog is up

I definitely want to do this, even just for the PR boost. But as you said, it's a little too early to start tying it to stepping down, when we don't know the final voting process yet.

Not that I'd mind it, if it came down to it. I'm pretty pleased with the other WH candidates from the debate, and the point isn't having ME on the CSM. It's making sure someone competent is there.

I couldn't help but notice that you used all my questions but gave no credit... What?

Other than that, nice podcast. I'm glad the community has you around, so keep up the good work.

Ps. I support this 'trial by combat' thing but it should be done in HS using the new dueling system. Even if we don't use it to decide who wins the CSM seat, if we make it a public event it could drum up a lot of interest in the election process.

And wormhole space, in particular, which is what we're all doing here in the first place.

Hats off to Semper Ubi Sub Ubi for putting the debate together, you guys deserve a lot of credit so I give you a Hats Off!
Two step also did a good job on inserting his experience as a CSM which added credibility to the podcast.

It seems to me listening to this debate there is no real differences between them. Sure there are small nuances between them but in the big picture of being a CSM make little difference. So you might as well shoot each other in face to see who wins. Though I doubt you could convince anyone from the other alliances to vote for you because you won a frigit fight.

You are all from large Alliance's and control the numbers, so in all likely hood the largest Alliance will probably get the representative. However I did spot a couple of good personalities in the debates, so maybe they can overcome the numbers and parody and get elected.

One comment I would like to make though is there was a TZ problem for the Europeans with Chista Jason being late and nightbeagle not being able to show up. I don't believe this to be their fault but the nature of the time difference.

Good Luck,
Well I'm off to J eye ta for now!

this was very apparent.
even on dread blapping, which people actually have varying opinions on, they all managed to say the same disappointing things...

I will vote for someone who is specific with what they want.

Not interested in a candidate that spews out buzzwords and general ideas.
