Suicide gank fittings(mostly against Hulks/Orcas)

Well as I understand, this is a Ship/Fitting question, not a tactic or strategy question, so I'm hoping it belongs here

Ok so I've had a burning question for a while now. What exactly, mostly in terms of ISK, does it take to suicide gank a Hulk/Orca? They're fairly tanky ships as it was before the update. Now, even moreso

Yes I read somewhere that "suicide ganking was never meant to be profitable"..who cares? It'd be fun.

Oh and I suppose I'm curious in case I see one in low sec and feel like destroying him. When in doubt, D-Scan out.

Destroyers, usually Thrashers. Arty fitted for more alpha.

Hulk takes one Catalyst, with decent (at least 4s) gunnery. Overheat your blasters, you won't need them later. If tanked, it may take 2 Catalysts. It takes multibil deadspace tank to survive more than 2 Catalysts. They don't need to drop. Have someone salvage the t2 wreck, and you can easily get lucky off the t2 salvage, covering Catalyst costs for your next 30 ganks.

Orcas aren't worth ganking. They don't drop, and with as little as one dc, you're looking at 200k ehp. Don't bother.

Would a Coercer suffice? I have 4 in turrets, 3 in gunnery(trial mind everyone), but I'm curious. But if any Destroyer can gank Hulks, then that's awesome..

scan retrievers, and shoot untanked ones.
