To be fair, this is a game. You don't actually NEED anything. Still the idea just seems like POS that can move.

It did, but only at sublight speeds.

Note that it was originally in high orbit of Bajor, before being moved to outside the Alpha-Gamma wormhole.

the use i could see from it is in a big fight you loose ships and need to refit and usually as a defender you have an advantage because you can reship rather easy and get back into the fight.

what this would allow you to do is cyno in a mom at a safe spot and anchor it and then activate the clone bay and then when you die or get podded you wake up in your pod next to the mom and then access the sma and jump in a new ship and continue to fight.
At the end of the game both the pawn and the Queen go in the same box.

I think your idea is good. Conditionally.

Range of fuel and the introduction, to all ships .
(Excluding Pod)
That logistics will become important if it does so.
It will become more realistic combat.

I do not think I need to ship more than Titan.

I think it's a great idea. Could change warfare in Sov space. A mobile base. Load that puppy up with more than enough for a long campaign, have Dust bunnies take a planet for anchorage, and bring her in. With capacity to bring Titans, a strong base defense, and he only way to stop an incursion into you're space would be to launch an all out assault to destory the Mothership before they take the whole system.

Hell, bring 2 or three to various points and you'll have the enemiy running crazy getting fleets around to all three points.

ISk sink? Hell, here's the ISK bathtub...and the big Sov alliances have ISk to burn to make em.

I'd be shooting my fight all over the mom if she was in-system. Why wouldn't you?

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

that's exactly the logistics i was thinking about.

titan can deploy a nice sizable amount of ships in a region...but a MOM would be really nice.

Also, to play hide and seek with your assets would be fun too.

My assumption is pretty spot on, because for the very same reasons was the first version of the Doomsday device scrapped. It was a massively stupid and hard sucking feature when one could destroy the ships of hundreds and thousands of players by jumping in a Titan and pressing a button. It is then the same when you can blow up stations. These will contain everything the players own.

We also have sovereignty mechanics and the game play in 0.0 focuses around taking space and holding space. Having a "non-stationary" station here is a stupid, sad and boring idea.

This is my opinion and I am entitled to have one. You asked and you got your answer. What is wrong with you?

No actuly a mobil base would make 0.0 sov holding even harder for the enemy if you have the big number of coalitions backing it, but that means there has to be some restricts like you can fly and built it in null sec , cause if you apply that on wormhole you could basicly lock down and carv out corp or aliances on space pluss , and youd have to limit that how many can be built per alliance , lets say youd have to have 1000 activ members in the alliance 1 motherstation ber 1000 activ member alliance
