COSMOS Clear up please

If I show info on a level 3 cosmos agent, it tells me i need 3.00 standing to faction, corp or agent. If i show info on a level 4 agent it says 5.00.

I am at 3.59 (modified with connections) to minmatar but cannot use a single level 3 agent. I petitioned and they said I need 4.00 for level 3 and 6.00 for level 4

which is it??

on a side note, i cant use the brutor tribe level 3 agents despite having a standing to brutor of 6.10 (5.34)

That doesn't sound right. That was the old standing needed for access. Maybe it's been recently changed again but I doubt it. I'd have the regular GM escalate the petition to a Senior GM and then ask for an official statement.

All Agents accept standings modified by Social skills.

The Faction ship offers require very high Faction standing for access.
Cosmos agents require the regular set amount of Faction standing for access.
Data Center, Epic Mission Arc and all other regular agents accept either Faction or Corporation standing for access.
If using Corporation standing for access, only need to have the Faction standing above -2.00 with the required amount of Corporation standing for access.

Level 1 = Always Available
Level 2 = +1.00 standing
Level 3 = +3.00 standing
Level 4 = +5.00 standing

A few months ago I accessed a few different level 4 Cosmos agents with my modified Faction standings.


My Faction standings.......Modified..........(Base)

Minmatar Republic.................+5.29............(+4.11)
Caldari State..........................+5.28............(+4.10)
Gallente Federation................+5.23............(+4.04)
Amarr Empire.........................+5.19............(+3.99)


Sometimes have to do a re-log to fix the problem, it'll reset the server and acknowledge the new standings. Another option is to clear all cache files in the Esc menu.

Im going to run the tutorial agents for minmatar untill i get over 4.00 modified, see if things change after that

annoying thing is, if i talk to a level 4 agent it tells me i dont have the required standing, but if i talk to a level 3 agent it just says sorry i dont have any jobs for you the same as if ive spoken to an agent that ive already completed.

Sounds like a bug. Also sounds like the regular GM doesn't know what he's talking about. I'm sure a lot of other players can attest to the fact of only needing modified standings to access Cosmos agents listed here.

I have bug reported this exact behavior on the Angel agents in the Okkelen constellation. Have not heard anything back.

Please file a bug report yourself to press the issue.

I petitioned when I had the same problem. I was told that cosmos agents don't go by "modified" skills, but actual unmodified skills .

So, when I get the specific corp, agent or faction skill to 4.00 unmodified, I was able to then use the lvl 3 agent I was going after.

i've done cosmos for every race multiple times on different characters and it worked the same way for each, every time.

I'm actually having a similar issue. My Sebiestor standing is 5.07 unmodified and 5.86 modified, yet I'm unable to get missions from the two Sebiestor agents: Dagrus Kutill (L3) and Jippon Frain (L4). They simply say they have no jobs for me, as if I already did the missions.

I don't know if this is by design, though. There's a Brutor agent by the name of Rozor Mothrus that requires Kutill's Data Chip. One way to get it is to kill Dagrus Kutill, the Sebiestor agent. I killed him w/ an alt so that it wouldn't mess with my standings. Even though my main didn't kill him, I'm wondering if the Sebiestor agents refuse to give me a mission simply because I completed the mission for Rozor Mothrus, which required Kutill's chip.

I'd have had this petition escalated because Cosmos agents are supposed to work on modified standings, same as regular agents. I have completed every Caldari and Amarr (hi-sec) Cosmos agent mission except the L4 Amarr BPC one and every one of them was happy with my modified standings.

I have no experience with Minnie Cosmos but wouldn't be surprised if that is exactly the issue.

I used the guide here when i was doing the Minmatar Cosmos missions: Minmatar Cosmos missions. Had no problem at the time when i did those particular missions, but not having an alt at the time i also ended up buying the chip from contracts

I am told that level 3 cosmos agents require 4.00 standing to corp, faction or agent. The info on the agents themselves are wrong.

same goes for level 4s. 6.00 is needed not 5.00

standing can be modified though.

they are looking into why I cant use the level 3 Brutor agents still. Even unmodified I have well over 4.00 standing with them.

modified standings definatly count as I can use the level 3 caldari cosmos agents and my standing is 2.88 (4.02 modified)

Gratz, maybe the problem has been fixed.

I remember a little while ago seeing threads about Cosmos Agents being bugged, as in not giving any mission offers and or not giving the Faction standing reward. Same thing was posted about some of the Epic Arc's.

If you complete the mission series for either Dagras Kutill or Rozor Mothrus, it usually makes the other agent unavailable. However, there is a way to complete both of those agents missions without getting any Faction standing reduction. The trick is to work both agents at the same time.

First start the Dagras Kutill 3 part mission series and complete parts 1 and 2. Part 1 is retrieve Kutill's Data Chip in an encounter mission against Maru Merc NPC's. Part 2 is a courier mission, transporting Kutill's Data Chip to a station in another system. Part 3 will be offered, don't accept it yet.

Now start the Rozor Mothrus 3 part mission series and complete parts 1 and 2. Part 1 is a simple courier mission and part 2 is an encounter mission against Angel NPC's. Part 3 will be offered, don't accept it yet.

Part 3 of the Dagras Kutill mission series want's you to kill the bodyguards of Rozor Mothrus and retrieve Machul's head. Doing that will allow Dagras Kutill to kill Rozor Mothrus and make Rozor Mothrus unavailable.

Part 3 of the Rozor Mothrus mission series wants you to kill Dagras Kutill and retrieve Kutill's Data Chip. Doing that will cause a Faction standing loss and make Dagras Kutill unavailable.

The trick is to complete both mission series at the same time, more or less.

One option is to buy Kutill's Data Chip and Machul's head from public contracts. After buying those items and placing them in your cargohold, accept the mission offers (part 3) from both agents. You'll now have both missions active in your journal and can complete the missions without losing Faction standing or making either agent unavailable.

That's the option I did.

Another option is before you accept the mission offers (part 3) from both agents, have another character or alt (not in fleet) kill Dagras Kutill and the bodyguards of Rozor Mothrus and retrieve the items for you. Dagras Kutill and the bodyguards will quickly respawn. Then accept both mission offers and complete them. Just remember that whoever kills Dagras Kutill will incur a Faction and Corporation standing hit.


As for the level 4 agent, Jippon Frain, maybe he's affected by the completion of the Rozor Mothrus mission series or by the killing of Dagras Kutill. I don't think he is affected but since I haven't accessed the level 4 Cosmos agents in high security yet, I don't know. I've only completed the level 4 Cosmos agents in low security..

i'm having exactly the same problem right now with lvl3 agents on an alt, but in caldari cosmos. can't access em with 3.45 (modified) standings, but on an alt who had above 4 (modified) they worked.

here's the weird thing though: lvl2 agents needed 2.00 standings before, now they only need 1.00 and i was also able to run them without a hitch after just doing ONE lvl1 cosmos mission chain on a fresh alt, thus having modified 1.78 (connections 4). might also mention that said lvl2 agents didn't work at first (relogged, cleared cache etc), but a few hours later they suddenly all did.

so to sum it up, cosmos is once again borked and
