Several storyline missions at the same time?

I'm currently running lvl 1,2 and 4 courier missions in order to get faction standings up through storyline missions.
I know that after every 16th mission of the same level and for the same faction, I get a storyline.

1. Can I have several different level storyline missions "active" at the same time (eg. lvl 1 and lvl4)?

2. Can I have several same level storyline missions "active" at the same time? (eg. lvl4 and lvl4)

2.1 If yes, do I have to first accept the first storyline in order to get another one, or can they both be at "offered"?

2.2 If no, does the storyline counter still run (eg. 16 missions, storyline offered, run 15 missions, do storyline, do 1 mission and once again get storyline offering?)

Thank you for very prompt answer.

Yet one more question.
Searching gave many different answers / speculations...

Does declining a mission effect the storyline counter in any way?

It just counts completed missions so in a way, yes, but there's no penalty involved.

Storyline mission offers are like regular mission offers, you only have 1 week to accept them. After accepting it, you then have 1 week to complete it.

The max amount of storyline missions listed in your journal depends on the amount of missions you can complete within 1 to 2 weeks. I remember once somebody said they had 5 different storyline missions offered. You could have more than that but remember, some of those storyline missions could also be 3, 5, 7 or 10 part mission offers.

I don't believe there is a limit - in a particularly insane week I tried to see just how many I could get - had over a dozen lvl 4 storyline missions in my journal

The storylines offered are by increasingly distant agents too as each agent will only offer you one mission at a time, so the longer you wait to do them, the further you'll have to travel to get into the right area.

So if I am trying to grind standings for Carthum Conglomerate with my trade alt in Shabura in Domain and am only getting Storyline missions from the Imperial Shipment agent in Luromooh (which is one jump away) rather than the Carthum Storyline Agent in Hadonoo (two jumps away) the thing to do is leave the first Storyline mission in the journal and aim to earn another storyline mission to get the second nearest Storyline Agent offering me a mission which should be the Carthum Agent so that I get a better boost in standings!

Will this work?

Assume this is old knowledge but would be good to know.

Hmmm, question never answered.

Yeah, you can do that as well as the other options in this thread - https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=30699&find=unread
