Having to reset graphics every time I log in...

Curious: I'm running a pretty decent system and it can handle all the graphics at the maxed out settings, but every time I log out and come back , the settings aren't the way I left them and I have to hit 'reset graphics settings' again to get that sweet, sweet visual experience. Is this normal or is there some sort of issue at work?

Then again, I haven't checked my rig for gremlins in a while...
