This is why I fly stupid fast align frigs through low sec. 2.3 sec align executioner with dual prop and a cloak... Only thing that stops me is cepeter on the out bound gate. Or a disco rohk... In your situation pucker up and die trying.

In addition to the earlier suggestions it's a good idea to take a good close look at the ships around you, work out who the faster lockers are, who are likely to be packing points.

If they are orbiting the gate wait until those ships with the faster locking times are furthest away from you, if they are well prepped with ogb or faction points you're sol regardless but it can buy you an extra second or two.

The proper solution for this would be to write a thread about it on Eve-gate!

If you're not already mostly aligned to a celestial to warp off too, pre-overheat everything, AB, hardeners, Invulns, reps whatever you can to survive and burn back to gate.

I only ask because if they can uncloak you as soon as you jump the gate I can't think of anyway for you to survive other than maybe cloaking again. I don't think most ships would have time to get back to the gate.

How do you avoid these? Any tips or tricks?

1) Always fly a scout alt in front (because that one time you don't you get zapped... :sadpanda:)
2) If you can't fit covops, fit an improved cloak and mwd and use Cloak/MWD trick to instawarp away

If you're against people who aren't stupid, they're going to have people on the other side of the gate ready to catch you if you even somehow manage to get back to the gate.

If you do manage the cloak trick, you're still not out of trouble. Chances are that they are going to follow you to whatever celestial object you warped. If they are halfway decent they'll warp in at varying distances to ensure they catch you.

If you find yourself in this situation, you should put on your best suit, open a bottle of champagne, and pour a glass for the whole ship crew. You're going down so go down in style -- and with guns blazing.

Tell them you have a cyno and for 100m per pilot you won't drop a fleet on them.

You would be amazed at how hard it is to "insta-lock" a shuttle before it can enter warp.

So you just landed on a 20 man gate camp and the fleet commander slaps your girlfriend on the ass.

What do you do?

-Hold cloak
-Look for the celestial that best suits your passive alignment
-Spam warp to said celestial

This will not always works. If they have true instalockers and the are paying attention they will get you.

The alternative, if they don't have webs and you have some buffer, is to overheat AB and try to burn back.

Some camps you simply cannot run. That's what intel channels are for.

Escape in cloakeble ship escape should be possible. Oce i jumped in cloaky mammoth and they had dictor so i fired mwd cloaked and after few minutes in cloak drifted out of bubble. Once another victim jumped in and they engaged it i used it as distraction uncloaked and warped out.

Decloak your disco phoon, wait for stuff to get too close and then push ALL THE BUTANS.

Then warp off once you've killed enough of the points that your core stabs can manage the rest.

Not a disco phoon? Well there's just no helping some people...

If your ship isn't moving, it doesnt make a difference which celestial you try to warp to it'l all take the same amount of time.

Quote:
Note: If your ship is not moving at all, the time to turn towards the destination is nil. Your ship simply accelerates in the direction you attempt to warp in. Hence the time to enter warp is only the time it takes to accelerate to 75% of max velocity. The way your ship model is facing is irrelevant and has no effect on how long it takes your ship to align towards a destination. This is because EVE doesn't quite work like real life and treats your ship as a symmetric ball that can be easily pushed in any direction, no matter which direction the ship model faces on your screen (i.e. there is no such thing as passive alignment).

This explains why my intertia stabbed vindicator was instawarping out of gatecloak while pointing nowhere near my outgate.

1. You wait for the maximum allowable time. Maybe someone else will jump through, maybe they will jump out
2. You judge the distance to the closest tackler, sometimes you might not be in point range
3. As you uncloak, you approach at a slight angle to the stargate, and activate and overheat your afterburner
4a. If you are going down fast, you start spamming jump
4b. If you are not going down fast yet, you don't jump immediately, but get ready to jump as soon as you start to hit structure damage. You do this to avoid people jumping after you. If it seems you are going down, many will try to join in on the kill, rather than jumping with you
5. You jump and immediately warp off, while locking and agressing a tackler that jumped with you if necessary (gateguns will be on your side, and only 0-2 will have jumped with you if you did the previous correctly.

Of course, if they don't agress if you burn to the gate, then you simply orbit and warp off at your convenience.

I slow boated my way in a PvE Cyclone through a 20 man bubble camp at about 17m/s...

It took about 45 minutes (They had an Arazu) and they came as close as 3km a couple of times but I made it.

If you have a spare highslot, fit a cyno in it and bring fuel. Good chance they'll scatter once you light it, doesn't matter if you are in a fleet or not Blink If it's a shiny camp and you know some people might even be able to make a batphone Pirate

Ofcourse once that group scatters you're stuck 10 minutes at the cyno, and they'll most likely realise you don't have friends coming Ugh

You ONLY Have an AB? Then you MUST be flying a noobship. Big smile Align times and sig radius on those aren't half bad. Look for something that is in your immediate approach vector, the less your ship has to turn the less velocity is lost aligning. I'd just pulse it for increased velocity and spam that warp button.
