Difficulty scanning down signatures (professional sites)

I'm practicing exploration in hisec with a Cheetah fitted with a scanning rig and sisters launchers with sisters probes. Currently Astrometrics is at 4, Rangefinding at 4, and Pinpointing at 3. Also regarding ship bonus to scanning, I have covops at 4.

Now I can get anoms easily without much effort at all, but signatures I can only seem to get as low as 0.5au. At that point I either lose the sig or it doesn't decrease in size.

Should I just train Astrometrics to 5 and Pinpointing to 4?
Is it just a matter of practicing more and I have what I need already?
Would DSPs help?
Are wormholes just as hard or harder to scan down?

Tired of missioning and I want to give this a shot. Links to any guides on it would be helpful too. I would look them up myself but I'm at work using my phone.

If I had to guess, you need to reset your filters:

If signatures are simply disappearing on you, this is usually the cause.

You're using filters, imo, and when you get a specific sig. type, it disappears because of your filtering options.
Try "show all" preset or make your own scanning preset, with all types of anomalies/signatures.
