OP is such a delicate unique snowflake that he needs his own separate thread on this.

To op. i dont see problem with your quotes... Its always been players responcibility to make sure he has medical clone that covers hes skillpoints.. CCP after all has nerfed to penalty of failing to do so. You only loose 5% of sp thats not covered by clone...

And if your that spacebroke that you can afford to upgrade, then maybe you should consider different career in eve that actually enables you to gain isk...

If CCP leaves clone costs as they are at the moment, they'll only go up 1-2m for most players (about the cost of a T2 ship module), I'm sure there'll be so much less people pvp'ing due to this massive cost increase causing financial hardship to all. Roll

Even for most vets it's only about 15-20m a clone extra if it pushes you up to Upsilon or Phi grades. If you've been playing that long and your implants don't cost way more, or you can't afford that small increase then you might be playing the game wrong.

WoW is great, I can go afk suddenly to look after my newborn baby and not really risk losing anything at all!

Eve on the other hand, is unplayable.

So what does that mean? WoW, amazingly enough, supports ones having a 'real life' WAY better than Eve does.

No tears here. I only sub to Eve for the hilarious forums.

Update the clone and get over it. Those who dont check their clones, is basically their fault.

I'd suggest just leaving null sec to achieve that. No bubbles, almost no pod losses (unless lag decided to **** all over you)

Edit, ok now that i have been up for a while and reread the first post, i now understand, pay no attention to me lol

[quote] However, we will not adjust clone level if the refund causes your total skill points to go above your current clone capacity. If you have Destroyer and Battlecruiser 5 trained, you should account for approximately 6.2 additional million skill points, thus we highly suggest you think about upgrading your clone accordingly, especially if you plan on going into hostile or remote space.
Sealing the deal

All of this will happen for the Summer 2013 expansion. That’s a lot to take on, which is why we wanted to give you as much of an advance notice as possible so you can react accordingly. We do hope this will clear any confusion on the matter – all of this is final and should not change at this point.

You still haven't addressed the problems that the skill changes will make to cloning, clone cost, upgrades and the possible skill losses from players who die after the changes with out dated clones thanks to the potential 6 million addtional skill points.

We have some plans to help mitigate those challenges but nothing quite ready to announce yet.

So basically, 2 months more of ignoring the obvious problem and lying to players only to come back and say, tough luck guys, you're screwed for all the reasons you warned us about b/c we think we know something.

I guess the years of telling players, hey, you can stop training an account at any time and not pay for higher clone cost was a lie. As well as forcing players to always buy a more expensive clone... thus hurting their pocket and risk factors.

Good player relationship bro's.

Could always ignore the additional benefit and just "lose" the skill points from not upgrading your clone and it'll be like it never happened. Or enjoy the new sp and pay for the clone like you would have had you skilled up the levels yourself.

Tears of laughter!

Eve players are the funniest MMO players in the genre. So serious, so 'cold harsh reality'. I read somewhere once "The Internet is like a microscope peering into the human psyche. MMOs are like having a really interesting sample of pond scum on the slide."

You're the person who spends real life money for a game he doesn't like, and appears to not like the game because he can't (as an adult) handle the idea of imaginary loss of imaginary spaceship looking pixels....But we should look at OUR selves.
