Apples and oranges. You are comparing WoW PVE raiding vs going and just shooting someone random. It's been three years since I played WoW but I'm pretty sure a BG pop only took about 5 minutes, and Arena's would pop and complete in under 10.

I like comparing EvE and WoW in terms of gathering resources.

Imagine a WoW player, riding from mineral node to mineral node, unloading at the Auction House, and back, and doing nothing else. Looks pretty dumb, in a world full of adventures and surprises.

Well, that's exactly what miners do in EvE.

Tell you what... when you can do everything in here competently in 6 hours then you can say that EVE is casual.

Oh look an original view on a topic that hasn't been discussed much before.

I think...

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

Well if you wanna use these kinds of comparisons- WoW gives you a tech and a neo moon for queueing up with other random dudes from some other server that you will never see again to run some dungeon or raid for your 141st time since expansion release.

Then once you grind enough badges you get a Titan and a Nyx for your efforts Smile

I just want to put this out there....

EvE is more casual than WoW.

Sure I can spent 6 hours a day in both games if I had the time, but often I don't have the time.

With WoW, you have to spend a hour or two to complete all the daily missions and then spend hours to max out your daily dungeon runs to get your monies worth. Otherwise it feels like you aren't getting the most out the game. Then you get your weekly raid which usually takes a few hours and once you are in you pretty much have to sink the time into it. If you want to PvP you have to sit in queue for an hour or more and then once the map starts you have to stick with it.

But with EvE it doesn't really take that long to find someone to shoot at. Just go own to lowsec and poke around.

If you run out of time, it doesn't take that long to get to a dock to log off.

Or you could just mine for 30 minutes a day if thats all you had time for.

And it doesn't feel like you are forced to sink big amounts of time to acheive tasks. I mean there are the skill times but you don't need to be logged in for that.

The nice thing about EvE is that it doesn't force you to play long hours to get the most out of the game.

Sure the option is there to grind tasks til your eyes bleed, but its not a requirement.

Hell, you can just buy plex from CCP and sell it for isk to make up for the time you couldn't spend playing the game to make isk.

Ergo, EvE is a really casual friendly game.

I'm going to come and pod you now, how dare you compare the filth that is wow to eve. You obviously have no idea how to play eve.
