If you all took the time to ready the actual post you would see that we are doing this for the fun of the game. I did not say the person who lost the vindi was being removed from the alliance. It wasn't about the fact he got blobbed, its the fact he undocked knowing the blob was out of station and engaged them knowing he wasn't going to be able to dock in time. A loss that is now making us lose the war. Now its all fun and good because its a game. We all understand that. If Panda has changed the minds of its people and they decide to stay then that will be fine also. I think they are a fun group and we have enjoyed having them around either as targets or as people to talk to. When I said we gave the newbs free stuff, I meant literally :p not just the wrecks they pick up. Yes we have actually given them isk on several occasions, given them ships, some times fully fitted. Now the loot from our wrecks is just an added bonus I would say.

As a noob, this was a perfect corp for me to join. I find a lot of the people in the corp very helpful and there's always excitement and fun on the fleets. If I lose a ship, it's ok, if I clicked "warp" instead of "align" when the FC says align, we'll all laugh about it. For me what matters is the fun I'm having with this corp. The thrill of just being out there defending the station etc... feeling like I'm making a difference and seeing WTs that makes my heart beats a little faster, asking fellow noobs, "is it safe outside? Is it safe to undock? " This is my EVE...This is The Brave Newbies Inc. EVE!

I would like to take this corp at face value, but I have to ask, how many players 30 days into the game would have the moxie to focus his skill plan to have the skills to control a 400 pilot corp?

You need MegaCorp II to manage 400 pilots, and that requires Corp Mgmt V, which is at least a 4 day skill for a new player, by itself. You would have to be awfully motivated to get that skill so soon in the life of a new char.

Sorry, this story about some player new to Eve does not pass the smell test.

The char was created Jan 9th.
Four days later he makes a beeline into Test, and this is apparently a new player to Eve, with no contacts outside of Reddit readers.
He is in Test for less than 72 hours. then dumped back into an NPC corp for a week.

The story about this being a corp originally built on Test alts seems to be a logical hypothesis.

As a new player of about a week, I have enjoyed it so far. I joined newbies a couple days ago and had 0 idea what I was getting into, hell I do not understand half of the acronyms I am reading on this thread. I have been frustrated since joining at losing ship after ship while questing, but that is fine. I joined them in a fleet action with no idea what the leader was telling us to do, and never got yelled at. I can appreciate that.

Just wanted to add here, we @ Unicorn **** Train all love the newbies and pandas.

In fact I've always made sure to reimburse the retrievers I killed in full and tell the newbs why I got them and how they can avoid this. We never smack them or try to get them down because of mistakes made and are always in for a chat about the game, mechanics or even the weather irl.

I also question the whole 'from zero to hero in a week' thing, but in the end it's the result that matters.
800+ members all having fun, that's worth more than any isk you can make ingame.

It's a nice theory but the truth is much simpler. I created this character after reading about Asakai and realizing that reddit had an EVE subreddit and that a major eve corporation was based off it. I thought joining a megacorp would be fun. It wasn't. I deleted all my stuff, left the corporation and cloned solo to jita. Then I had a cool adventure exploring and posted a story about it. Many newbies wanted to join in on the fun, so I made a little corp to give us a place to chat.

Things snowballed. Soon I had 20 people waiting to join and 14 hours on the next corp management level. A kind vet with maxed corp skills offered to briefly CEO to expand member limits. I took the shot and got the corporation back with a 6300 member cap.

TEST did donate some money and gave us access to their open mumble when we started. While their kindness was appreciated, I accepted it as a strictly no-strings-attached deal. We now are self-sufficient and have got our own mumble servers and website. Politically, we are a free entity and will remain so for the foreseeable future, though the vets that are helping us kill the Hek station campers will be remembered.

That's the difference between blobbing and small-gang. When you're blobbing, fate (or the enemy FC, rather) decides who lives and who dies, and no skill or judgement on the part of an individual will change that. So it is unfair to judge someone by their losses, in such a situation.

However when you're fighting outnumbered, in a small gang situation, using a presumably alt-heavy force, individual skill DOES matter. And losses will be caused directly by a lack of ability, and poor judgement. In such a situation, it is completely valid to kick someone for losing a ship as it is an indicator of their overall lack of skill.

I'd say that's totally wrong attitude. You will end up fighting on station undocks in highsec with neutral alts if you just try to avoid losses. I'd rather go mining in a belt with an ibis. If your corp starts bitching about losses, leave. Your flying in wrong company. Maybe join these newbro's? (or pizza).

On Alliance names comrade. Apparently R4P3 isn't ok in a corp/alliance name. Of course the 20 other some corps or alliances that have it in the name get no punishment, but that's just CCP for you, A parent selected its favorite kids out and scorning the rest.

Not to mention the fact the corp name/ticker/corp logo is strangely remeniscient of a corp called "Brave 0.0 Newbies" formed six years ago...

Or the fact that this corp blew up while CCP was offering a $25 alt account to existing players....

Or a vet with maxed skills conveniently offering to expand the corp...

Or even CCP jumping on the bandwagon and publicly advertising the corp on a devblog....

Yep, just like the movie Avengers, one strangely convenient thing after another...
