If I was to fly one into the bonus room in Angel Extravaganza, is there any particular thing I should worry about primarily in being in a Rattler? Or just run the mission as usual like any other any?

By evesurvivak, I should be able to just deploy sentries and clean everything out after killing the towers and removing the scrams. Normally people do that mission in ships that actually FLY AROUND :)

I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.

I just go in. Deploy sentries and nuke all the towers first then I clean out the rest from small to large. I might pull in my drones and MJD once but usually that's not needed.

MJD offers almost reliable escape from rats these days. Rattler should tank well enough for you to estimate the threat and have enough time to bail in case things will go wrong for some reason. You can try to go there overtanked at first time though if you aren't sure.

Well, what was said about MJD will be applicable as long as CCP won't decide to stealth buff NPCs to actually scram P

I've been playing around with Rattlesnake fittings a bit recently and my layout is... most likely a bit odd and in some ways questionable. which leaves me with some points to consider.

A) With this much tank and DPS you should never need to run, hence a MJD is a waste, better off with a MWD to help you get to the next area quickly
B) you get more damage with 3 X DDA II and 3 BCU II than 4 X DDA II 2 X BCU
C) Active tank allows you more damage and considerably more tank even if you were only to use a medium shield booster II
D) if you want to PVP this ship, use an ASB, it's hilarious.

Now for the fit.

Ogre II x5

Now this is a tight fit for CPU, I will also explain it a little and things I would change out here and there.

Medium nos II – why the hell not, I’d go with a heavy but it dun fit Straight with no AB or MWD they will get close to you so why not suck out a bit of power and help the cap along.
Shield Boost amp – For heavy EM missions or better omni it may be better to swap out for EM hardener
Damage control II – Ads about 20K+ to your EHP and drops between 20 and 50 dps from your fitting but leaves this fit somewhere in the 950dps range, at which point 20-50 is not a bit whoop.

Cap – lasts about 1min 50. Well, I’d like to see someone need to run the SB that long.

I am looking at rattlesnakes because my Machy has been with me for a while and is worth 500mill more now than when I bought it. The money I’ll get out of selling it will help me towards a capital ship.

Specially because the ewar is noted as scramming despite being only a warp disrupt
