true story: i was headed down to san antonio from Hood in my sister's grand am. the rear license plate light was out, and a highway patrolman pulled me over for it. he ran my license and all that, my last ticket was six years prior, and I was born in El Paso... then he mentions that TX highway patrol is hiring.

Ft. Hood eh? Man, you've don some hard time. Killeen, Copperas Cove, Temple, Belton-- your pick of fun places to hang out. I know, I spent my high school days in Belton. It was like a sensory deprivation experiment. : )

Don't forget the part about the hairsyle. Just almost a shaved head, but not quite. About 1/16th inch of hair, so you have a pink head that somehow gives the impression of hog skin. Smile

When police shoot at a car like this, they aren't aiming specifically at the occupants. They are aiming into the cabin in general.
Cars aren't very bullet proof. Jacketed rounds go straight through like butter. so they just try to blanket the car in gunfire.

yes

I haven't heard anyone talk about this shooting on the news. However there is quite a lot of focus on the manhunt for the ex cop. Kill a poor/minority person and you are very likely to get away due to lazy cops, kill a cop though and you get a bounty equal to Osama Bin Laden's. wtf

That's because the shootings were done by law abiding officers, not kids with AR's. Shooting things up is ok when you are licensed to do so.

huge failure. a bigger mistake could not have been made by that pair of policemen

like, every couple hours on mission in Iraq, I was -sure- I was going to die or get blown up. but you just... hold your fire so you don't go down like the two who shot the newspaper delivery ladies.

huge huge huge failure. I mean, yeah it's serious, sure two women were shot. worse has happened. but ... that the policemen might stay on the force is the problem. (is this a circus?) knowing when to *not* shoot is the most basic awareness a person should have when they are in control of a firearm. ...in uniform.

fire them. maybe they can set a better example of how to be fired from the force and not go on a rampage later.
