I undocked, warped to the tutorial area, and the game crashed. So I relogged, the ship warped back to the tutorial area automatically and the game crashed.

Kinda set the tone for the next 4 years TBH.

Made a toon, started in Space, had NO idea what I was supposed to do, quit game. Came back two weeks later after convincing my self to stay with it, learned the ropes and have been playing for over two years now.

Ok, i'll spill the beans on the second thing that happened to me in EVE.

Was doing a 2/10 in my trusty catalyst named "Rusty" was looking through cans for things to loot, stole some meta 4 hardners from a wreck, the other guy in the 2/10 warped off, I thought, great, all mine, he came back in a navy slicer Blink

As with any other game I was what the ****, tutorials, let's skip that, totally not need that.

Next 2 weeks I was trying to find out HOW to fly ships and how eve worked (so to all new guys do the tutorials).

Then finally found a corp that was doing the stuff I liked to do until we got wardecced (this was in my 3rd or 4rd week in EVE).
I never knew we were at war (didn't know we had notifications) and undocked like 10 to 20 times from a station where about 5 war targets were right on the undock

Those guys did get a lot of killmails from my part until one of them was nice enough to PC me and explain to me how war mechanics etc worked he even refunded all stuff I had lost that day.

July 18th, 2009.

Logged on, started the tutorials. Didn't have a clue. This went on for several days. Finally decided to be a Courier.

The thing I remember most is that everything I tried worked, and the game went up and down as advertised. I had high hopes then.

Many ages ago, when I first started EVE, we got war dec'd by a corporation called Nova Ardour, I had been playing EVE for 12 days, so, sitting on the dodixie undock, waiting for our humble war targets.

They undocked after 5 minutes, Navy Mega, Dominix and a Armageddon, we had 12 t1 cruisers, Me and my trusty Thorax, "Steel Rogue's Thorax" started to engage the Navy Mega, while 2 Blackbirds jammed the geddon and domi, we started applying DPS to the Navy Mega, had it down to 1/4 armor, then we lost jams on the domi, it got rep'd, and we all died slowly. After that, didn't play eve for a year, till my friend invited me back Lol been here ever since. That was 3 years ago.

Undocking for the first time and just seeing the black sky all around my noob ship, with the stars, the nebula background, the station, the music and all ...

Most beautiful game vista ever.

I was in beta trying to mine and other's mining drones would get attached to my ship. So there would always be at least one drone stuck to my noob ship at any given time. That was my first of many bug reports. Good times....

About 2 years ago, did all the tutorials the game had, went out to mine and got podded by a ganking player. Continued to play until the grace period of the free trail ended and forgot about eve. Tried it again int he early part of this year and fell in love with it.

My very first experience in EVE was logging in as a Vherokior female with this character name, undocking in a pile of rust and deciding right there that Minmatar was terrible; so, I re-rolled as Caldari.

Yeah my 1st character was Lord Ryan of the same blood line the current Lord Ryan. Created him cause he looked like me. Once I logged in and saw the Reaper, I logged out and created a Gallente Character on the same account. The Gall had the best looking ships, so he became my main for the next year or so. A couple weeks(months?) later I got a power of 2 account, so I
BIO-ed Lord Ryan and remade him on the power of 2 account. I cross trained(big no-no at the time) him so he could sit in all the faction ship and rarly undocked. At one point he could sit in just about every subcap ship but couldn't fit anything over samll t1 guns. After a year or so of playing I realized gall ships kind of suck and Lord Ryan was ready to undock.

Yeah that's what I looked like when I started Eve. Now I'm old, bald and fat.

*edit* sorry about the quality I didn't know how to get a picture larger than the thumbnail back than, and I wanted to match the size.

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

One of my first experiences was undocking in a Kestrel and watching corp mates fighting in torp Ravens and Megathrons. Explosions everywhere and I was asked to start tackling. I had no clue what I was doing and just sat there getting shot.

Good times. Oh yeah, nothing has changed much, i still just get shot and die regularly on player accounts Smile

Maybe this is why EVE has gone nowhere in the six years I've observed it.
