Tried the old old tutorials and had to smoke a bowl to not break ****. Eve is NOT twitch based!

Then someone gave me 500k and I made a mining rifter.

Was during the time of the neutered concord, flew to Hedion to get my combat tutorial started, when this huge ship (in comparison to my lil noob frig) warped on top of the station with me, insta locked and poped me. This continued for another 20min or so before I finally quit trying for about 2 years before coming back to the game, damned if I can remember that original account name though What?

Just finished the explo tut and decided to see what I could find. Found some gurista site (likely a ded site, I was too young to know what it was at the time). There were approx 20 or so rats, and myself in a cormorant. The cormy was SOOOO much better than that little frig they just gave me, so this should be fine right?

Locked on nearest rat and opened fire. About 5 seconds later, all I see is a massive volley of missiles heading towards me. About another 5 seconds later, my ship is voilenced to death What?

Made a Minmatar character and flew all the way to amarr space, expecting some pew-pew. Nothing happened!

Then I met a mOo patrol in Emrayeur.

Look into my eyes...   and tighten that sphincter, kid.

I furiously attacked my WASD keys to no avail.

Uninstalled EVE later that day.

When I first started EVE, many ages ago, I was greeted kindly by GM Tegrino, stayed ever since, with the occasional break

One of my first experiences was undocking in a Kestrel and watching corp mates fighting in torp Ravens and Megathrons. Explosions everywhere and I was asked to start tackling. I had no clue what I was doing and just sat there getting shot.

Good times. Oh yeah, nothing has changed much, i still just get shot and die regularly on player accounts Smile

Don't remember which event happen first.

Some guy in local kept asking if someone would please kill him. I said OK, locked him up in my reaper and clicked F1. Not sure if my guns cycled before I got concorded. He had a laugh and sent me "1 MILLION ISK". I was rich and I got one of those skull and bone things next to my name.

Some kid I think he was russian or 10 years old, I'm not sure. Anyways he invited everybody in rookie chat to a fleet. One of the guys was already in a corp and had a friend with Abaddon and level 4 agent.. So something like 30 of us traveled 20 jumps(OMG 20 jumps thats going to take hours!) to Amarr space to run missions. Did I mention is was like 4am US TZ, and I was drunk. Pretty sure the majority of the fleet were children and all on trial accounts. We had a blast. Serious, probably more fun than I've had since. We had to go through hundreds of noob ships that night. I don't think the kid who started the fleet ever logged on again. I don't know if I would have subbed if not for that night. It seemed like a cool game, but as aconsole gamer I just couldn't see paying every month for the same game.

I remember doing the tutorial, you know that part where you have to kill 2 rats than mine something. Well I thought I was so smart, oh yeah I was drunk than too. So anyways I'm thinking I can just stay up all night and mine, I'll be rich by the morning. Had no idea that mining was a career, or that most systems had belts. Didn't even know how to find a belt, I was just going to mine that one rock. Don't think I lasted 15 minutes. I said f**k it I'll just make money the hard way and do some missions.

One of my office mates who hasn't played in years (Maud Dib, used to be with JF, IIRC most of his kills predate Battleclinic) skipped the tutorial back in 2003, undocked, locked up the station, and started shooting.

Glorious! ^_^

I went thru most of the tutorials at first. Didn't want to travel too much at first because I wasn't sure how to get back "home" lol
I remember being overwhelmed by so many windows and stuff, took me a while to understand the interface, how to travel, bookmarks and such. Remember my first trip to Jita, to get some modules at a good price... I hated so much the local than escaped almost immediately. Then started doing L1s in my Condor, I loved it. When I had enough money I got a Cormorant and things started to feel slower... now I have a BS but barely use it because it is so slow... so I'm mostly doing low level plexes in a fast cruiser.

Doesn't seem like years since I've seen him putting around. Time flies when you're old!

I did not know that there was any difference between hull, armour and shields so i used to come home after every mission on fire. I saw it as a badge of honour.

Having played Elite, I bought some frozen food and spirits and carried them around from station to station trying to sell them for a profit. The best price I got was 80% below the cost of the items.

Any colour you like.
