Does anybody use the monitor (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+M) in EVE? If so, what uses have you found for it?
I just found today that the "outstanding" tab shows all the commands sent by the client that have not yet been received by the server. This would have been extremely useful during the Battle of Asakai, had I known about it.

I found out about this when I was searching for a way to monitor my outgoing traffic on my Eve client. Very nifty piece of code.

I get the feeling that it really wasn't intended for player use and that it's mostly supposed to be a debugging tool for CCP.
However it's quite nice to have, indeed.

You can enter cheat codes with it. For example: SHIFT+ALT+"QUICKISK" gets you 1,000,000 ISKs for free.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Outstanding and FPS is what I mainly use it for when I start noticing lag.

Confirming this works, I did it 2,000 times to buy my Tengu fit.

Lies. Only characters in player corps can use this feature.

A professional astro-bastard was not available so they sent me.

So what do the various debug options do?

Well there's a window that shows various measurements of EVE's memory usage, there's another that shows your FPS and thread CPU % on the same graph, there's another that shows network statistics such as how many outstanding commands you have, there's another that lists the outstanding commands. There's several other windows but I've had EVE crash before when loading some of them, so it's something to be careful with.

most of that stuff is supposed to be used with the out of game debugger, that's why it crashes.

and no, there's nothing you can "do". but it gives you a nice insight as to just how complex this game is under the hood.

Are you referring to LogServer?

yeah, it dumps stuff out when you are in those windows, not sure if it works on tranq or if its SiSi only.
