Let's pretend the asset window completely disappeared.

I've started to look at asset management in Eve like any other ISK generating activity. If I can make more ISK doing something else then I do. And when a cluttered inventory starts getting in the way I start trashing things. If something is worth keeping I go and get it, then and there. If not then it gets trashed, whole hangers in many cases. Its been very liberating.

I'd loose quite a bit, i have ammo, dancers, militia, janitors and what not strewn all over the place.
One day i will take my freighter and collect all the stuff..

Even with the asset tool I have been known to loose things for days at a time.

I spent about an hour this weekend tracking down a capital BPO trying to work out which alt I had contracted it to and where. Oops

Two weeks in I made a region-wide buy order for drone poo before I understood how that works. I now have 2-3 of each.

It's fun to look at the asset distribution using the Star Map and seeing your adventures through space-time.

I've godt 10-100 mill worth of items in each station in about 150 stations on all chars.

Picking up the items would take more time than making new isk though, so I just leave it lying around and picking iø stuff or putting them on the market when I happen to cross the region.

I think i'd lose maybe a 1 bil max, that would be all the crap that I was just leaving in stations when i started playing and didn't know what i wanted to do(such as those recommendation paper thingies and t1 modules). Its scary to see the map with "your assets" turned on, maybe one day i'll get around cleaning it.

I bought a Thanatos somewhere in Delve once. I swapped the pilot I was training for it over to a Moros training plan.

I have no Thantos pilot, and would have no idea where that Thanatos was.

I took a look at the assets last month to do some consolidating/selling and realized the absolute nightmare of (thankfully mostly cheap) crap I left out in null. Now, I just keep the assets page on regional instead of global. By the way, anyone know off the topof their head or who are in game now know if you can at least trash stuff from the other side of Eve by any chance?

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I just came back from a long break, and I had completely forgotten what stuff I have and where it is. Poking through my assets, I got to thinking-- Say the asset window relies on one specific hamster to function, and that poor guy decides he's done and goes home for good. (To be fair, he's been working pretty hard and I'd say he's earned a retirement.) How much of your stuff is lost forever?

In my case, there's a carrier that I'm pretty sure would take a few weeks to find, once I remembered that I had it. Then there are other random ships stashed all over EVE (most with varyinigly suggestive names), "just in case a good fight pops up" BC's around old stomping grounds, "shuttle" frigs with nothing but an MWD on them, jerry-rigged probers, small stacks of ammo all over the place, and stacks of industrial bits from when I was into that side of the game.

I've also got a salvaging destroyer that'll probably stay in its player-owned nullsec station forever. It's the only ship I still have from when I first started playing, and I'll be damned if I'm going to sell it!

I may just be unusually scatterbrained, but I can't be the only one. So whaddya got? A couple hundred exotic dancers in some backwater lowsec station, leftovers from one epic night a few years back? Stack of minerals that just aren't quite worth the risk or effort of hauling them somewhere useful? Fess up!

I probably wouldn't lose more than 10-20 bil worth of **** scattered around low/null sec. So, not that big of a deal really.

I look at it exactly like this, except I think I'm more reluctant to trash stuff. It's not so cluttered as to be irritating, yet, and I'll throw things on the market when I'm in the region and I remember to.

In general, I won't undock for less than a million ISK anyway.

I would lose one of those items that they give you after completing a tutorial. The minmatar one. I bougth it from some guy because I want to have the four of them, but I'm always too lazy to go and pick it up. Every other item I own is at one of 5 very specific stations or a POS.
