Got to love uninformed trolls. You know this situation has occured before with one big alliance holding most of space...you know what happen? It failed. Ultimately the powerblocks will fracture and things will move again. Think of it as a time of stability to make some serious cash.

If you want your own space, fight for it.

In all seriousness, though, it's not impossible to live in nullsec without kowtowing to Chad from Accounting, just be prepared to live like wanted fugitives (best way to play EVE imo).

Over-reactions aside, I daresay a large bulk of high sec (and low sec'ers, too) really don't give a whit about these "controlling" factions. Let's be brutally honest here: high sec'ers tend to stay in high and occassionally low, with no need or desire beyond simple curiosity to head to null, either sov-held or NPC null. Nullies (and their alts), on the other hand, seem to regularly go to high for various reasons, not the least of which are (according to recent excellent threads) industry and griefing high sec'ers.

Don't you think that says something more than the drama laid out by the OP?

Of the "controlling" alliances you note above, I know of Solar, and that's about it. I couldn't tell you who's in HBC, CDC, N3, KFC, ADHD, or WTFP0WN without looking them up. I know they have zero impact on my game overall, and I daresay they have very little impact on others that have chosen to play their own game.

EvE's far from dieing, in fact our game is doing rather well, Dust is doing good. As for the Alliances you mention, Null has changed hands many times in the past. No such thing as an invincible Alliance/ Colition and those that thing they are are sadly mistaked as history has shown. Theres a storm coming to null that god nor CCP can't stop, its been brewing for a year, 6 months from now remember what i said Blink

Nullsec got conquered by half a dozen large alliances.

The dream of nullsec owned by a thousand tiny corporations that all hate each other didn't happen, and some people think this is a problem that CCP should some how fix.

We had the same thing back in 2006. Also in order to have a blue doughnut you would require 0.0 to not be shooting at eachother.

Null changes are coming, sooner or later. And when they do war happens. And even if changes aren't coming, peace doesn't last forever. Sooner or later something will happen to upset the balance of power.

Until then those who play this game for fun, instead of paying to have the second job that is running a null alliance, will stay the **** out of null and let the power hungry have their... 'fun'. I'll be ready with the popcorn when **** hits the fan.

Lot of people who like player own space is currently works. Some would like to see player own space changed! The way we fight for space is "ok" and living in player own space is not bad income. I don't see need of much change, but the ring mining could be added in we hope.

If you want to control something, then wormhole space could be what we really need added in to the game adding more types of systems and how we could currently live in them.
