Retribution introduced several new ships, including a new mining frigate and four new destroyers. What sort of effect did this have on the economy? Did mineral prices spiral out of control? Did everyone flock to the new destroyers? Did the space whales finally win?

Answers to at least two of those questions, and many more, can be found CCP Recurve's new dev blog.

Nice new little graphs, too bad you can't show the number of ventures that died trying to pvp somehow. I wanted to try it, but targeting range was too short for my purpose. (Artillery speed fit.)

The new figures on gas are interesting, and while I trained up a number of toons fully to use ventures for gas harvesting, I was dissapointed to discover that with unreliable gas type damage, and scaling inconsistensies, Ventures are simply not a viable 0.0 gas miner, when using more than one character at a time.

Perhaps these gas cloud damage anomalies are something to look into?

Yeah right, make it even easier to earn a fortune with one of the cheapest ships in the game, flown by newly-created disposable alts. NOT.

Nerf the Venture or make it cost at least 30 million like the t2 ship it is in everything except name.

The Venture is an excellent design, one of the most balanced ships to come out in recent times imo. Good for new players, great for gas mining and ninja mining ops to grab valuable ore in places where someone shouldn't be mining. Lol

Just need something useful to be done with that high sec gas, now smuggling is impossible in high sec, Synth boosters are the only thing you can move about in high sec.

The legend in gas harvesting graph has gas names mixed up.

Green line should be mykoserocin, red one fullerine? and blue one cytoserocin?

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Venture and the others contain old info as well.

The information on the wiki is pretty scarce.

When is Evelopedia going to be updated to Retribution?

While I absolutely love the venture, this data pretty much proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's stupidly OP for what it does and the cost/skills required to use one. Not asking for a nerf, but couldn't resist commenting.

This man has a very good point. The demonstrated popularity of the gas mining Venture makes now a perfect time to have another look at combat boosters.

It's worth noting that this is in part a result of an improvement in the Loyalty Point store so well done and thanks to the developers who added the quantity button.

Probably also because a 92,000 isk data core is still 840 ISK per LP spent Smile

OH MY, look at all that mining still done in Hulks!

You remember the Hulk right? It's the ship that people upset with the recent mining barge changes insist is never used anymore.

Except, of course, that for the rarer ores it now appears that it is STILL the go to ship for null sec miners.

Which is exactly what I told you would happen. Blink

Don't you think that is time to remake and rebalance the ORE types and distribution?! it is a pain to set up any kind of industrial OP in null if you are in a small alliance or in a WH... there is also the POS issue.... the Sov issue... well... noone seams to listen....
