If you don't agree with the nature of the product you can at the very least appreciate the concept of a niche market being filled. There is a demand for this sort of thing and as far as I can tell this company is the only one aiming to provide to that demand.

I have deleted some transphobic posts from this thread. Discrimination against anyone on account of their gender, sexuality, race, nationality, or the like is against the forum rules.

Thank You.

It was just another demonstration of just how far the Human Race has to go yet for full acceptance of everyone.

Even the ones that were not attacking anyone for being transgendered.

As I said before, if you feel like you are going to have a problem being appropriate or appreciative of this in the typical way you can always change your direction and look at it as a marketing niche.

The people behind this product line are obviously really intelligent when it comes to supply and demand. So far nobody else is trying to fill this niche market. Let me try and give an EVE example.

Lets say dodixie is full of buy orders for VOID medium but NOBODY is selling VOID medium. Then somebody has the idea and says "Hey I am going to sell VOIC medium and fill the gap".

Edit: you can even look at it from a design aspect. The website is very well designed.

Guess it just comes to what we individually think is important. I don't care about specific clothes for transgender, as you can probably tell. I care more about countries where LGBT individuals are getting the same rights as "the norm" instead of being forced to flee for their very lives or forced to be silent and live a lie.

I kill kittens, and puppies and bunnies. I maim toddlers and teens and then more.

What´s the problem with Transexuals?

Some of the SHARPEST and most awfully crude and sarcastic minds I have met in my line of work have been Transexuals.

Not only they have an acute humor and way of doing jokes, their very bodies can project certain interjections in speech with more tonality than usual.

Honestly, I´m more afraid of bigots than transexuals. Good friend of mine from Colombia, a transexual, had one of the most funny routines in joke telling I have ever heard, just hilarious, and in a sense, she was nice to look at, considering the extra package.

Meh, honestly, these days the only thing that shocks me is the Asexuals, they are beginning to trend and have known several already, mostly young adults.

I kinda understand them, but they baffle me, see THAT´s shocking to me Roll

Not surprising. When you're 'under the gun' like that all the time, humor becomes a crucial survival trait. And the abuse you fear and expect (and recieve) all the time means that sharp cynicism is almost manditory.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

I just imaged what would happen if you crossed a submariner with a transsexual....

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

Their lack of sexuality (or claimed lack thereof) is kinda interesting at least. But I thought the 'trend' started back in the 80's with Morrissey. (?)

Why would a transgender woman need special lingerie... what would need to be hidden? That makes it not a transgender, it's a man! Shocked

I agree that it is partially conformist in its concept but it is ultimately more about empowerment than anything else. In a perfect would gender wouldn't really exist in a restrictive way and as a result people who are "trans" would just be indistinguishable from the rest of the population.

I really like how the site specifically has a section where you can listen to the models that appear in the calming video that is the backdrop of the site itself. They each express slightly different reasons and motivations but it got me thinking.

Normally I am the first to make the argument that the reasons why you do something are just as important as the thing itself. I think in this case the Action being the creation of a product for a specific demographic carries more weight than the reason behind it. In truth there is no real way to tell what the personal motivations of the creator are. However I think an argument can be made that the action and outcome of those motivations whatever they may be are benevolent.

I feel like no matter what it is, A special hat or a favorite pair of socks; there are things that make us feel good and give us confidence. In the case of those that for whatever reason have a desire to present a specific way, providing them with the product (in this case Lingerie) is harmless.

I really can not find any negative consequence of this. I think this company is doing a good thing.

The hostility that comes from 'the other side', is most definitely hard to understand. What are they so afraid of ? Themselves ?

You come at the issue from a Trans perspective, and I come to it as a Gay Man. These things are not exactly related, but just being accepting of who we are as People has always come as a given to me even from an early age.

The human race is not finished growing up, that's for sure.

Yes they are.

But my goodness, the first Trangender folks first appeared in the 1950's !!!!!! (Christine Jorgenson)

Just how much longer are we expected to wait for 'acceptance' ?

It's not like it's 'new' for sakes............
