Fanfest health hazard

One of two things is going to happen as a result of this thread:

Scenario 1:
The dirtybutts are going to be self conscious and this will be the most BO-free herding of nerds in history.

Scenario 2:
People are going to get their RL PvP on, and show up extra rancid just for lulz.

I think we all know the answer.

Geological cycle? No, the hot water smelling of sulphur is a year-round thing. If you're lucky, the hotel heats its own water, eliminating the smell. But in most cases, the hot water will smell like sulphur.

After a few days here you don't notice anymore though.

Ya know, its funny how you can tell where you ar ein the world by the water. people who come to Louisville Kentucky from abroad for the horse races, always comment on how our water tastes/smells funny because of the mixture of limestone and other natural chemicals in it from all the groundwater and caves in our region.

though sulfur-water sounds like it would be especially amusing for reactions to.

It can't be as bad as London Comic-con, that's like 100,000+ people over the weekend and it's so bad there is literally a haze of toxic gas after a few metres across the hall.

Funny this topic shows up right after I took the first shower in a week thanks to a disease that would murder me if I tried to shower.
I swear my cats came to me, smelled my armpits and ran away.

I'm pretty sure both of those would make the situation a lot worse. True nerds don't often enjoy the company of a woman and the gas mask will be seen as part of a cosplay outfit.

Nerd or not, I wonder what did he expect even the more cleanest person in the world would smell bad after hours in those condition... Or just bring the tobacco back...

CCP READ PLEASE:
- A CLOAKROOM, A F***** CLOAKROOM, for jacket and polartec stuff ! And during all Fanfest not at the party only.
- Free Quafe Deo, at least it will stink fake irritating chemical odor instead of BO, we might have no head aches with luck.

Or just the OP could just stay at home and do not confront himself to the really outside word, where bad (odors)things happens.

tsk, tsk, tsk... Folks need to learn how to plan more diplomatic style solutions to the problems.

Example:

- Hold the conference at Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura - they have a swimming pool and set up around that.
- have the hotel over chlorinate the water a bit and step up the filter pumps a touch.
- Get 'bouncers' who's job it is to 'bounce' folks into the pool who are offensive in that way, then fish them out.

A brief PC apology for the accidental bump into the pool but they do come out a tad fresher than they went in. If a bit more is needed, a couple more "oops" are applied... problem solved!

Just one solution. :-p

Remember America is the only country where we actually take showers use deodorant and perfum/cologne. The other countries are to poor , uneducated, lazy, or just plain stupid. Remember that smell from your body is the "GAS" from the bacteria that is feeding on your body.
It's also you duty to tell you fellow man that they stink. Being kind isn't being a friend, and if your a woman and you smell bad that's just gross, prob what Mchip smells like tbh. ONIONS

Folk died form plague because they were in close proximity to rats, more specifically, rat fleas which carried the bacteria, Yersinia Pestis, which could and did jump onto humans once the host rat population was insufficient to provide enough host bodies for the flea population.

Personal hygiene had very little to do with it.
