CCP please include a neckbeard trimming kit in the welcome pack.

Bad idea. Then we will just have a bunch of people cutting their own neck trying to trim the neckbeard part...

I don't think the problem is that the nerds don't shower and deodorize - The problem is that when you're used to sit in a small, dark room all the time and communication is heavily filtered through a microphone, actually being in the same physical location as so many other real human beings can be an terrifying ordeal. They have to manage their social anxieties, focus on trying to be as normal as possible and remember that they're no longer hidden behind their monitor, so now they actually have to show respect and courtesy.

TL;DR: What you can smell may well be fear and anxiety, not a lack of hygiene (although the truth is probably somewhere in between).

CCP can you force people to take showers and improve their hygiene?

Iceland has a list of names you are allowed to call your son or daughter. There was recently an incident where an Icelandic girl had to fight a court battle to be called the name given to her by her mum.

So they should be able to handle showers.

Do you want the bathroom dispensers to be stocked with deodorant and cheap cologne?

Yes

Maybe standard minmatar issue right guard should be given out at the enterance?

Yes with instructions.

Oh wait! We should probably treat people like a prison does and strip them down and dust them with delousing powder and give them clean prison issues to wear!

Yes

Since people are expected to shower before dipping in the hot springs, this might actually work. Bear

Well, I'm sure the Amarrian contingent will make sure that all the Minmatars are stripped off, hosed down with icy water and deloused... I'm sure it's in the brochure *somewhere*. Blink

How hard is it to take a shower and put deodorant on?

Just once.

Apparently very very difficult. The same problem exists as most cons. The last few I have attended they had a few booths there with soap and doeoderant and a sign that says gamers don't let gamers game dirty.

Or just make sure you get cold and have a stuffy nose during the whole ordeal. Not the best solution, but it should work too.

I'm bringing giant cans of Lysol with me. Any offensive odor I come across will be met with jets of disinfecting spray.

Just make sure you wash before getting inked. And follow the instructions about washing after getting inked. And just wash in general, at least three times a week if not every day.

Clean water and covered sewage were the two greatest medical advances in the history of the human race. it's a shame more people don't recognise this.

Theres a test for that. Poke them in the belly, if they giggle then they are ok, if they attack you then not so ok.
