Yes that works well - i have tried it.

I am about to buy a Asus Transformer TF810c - Windows 8 tablet. It uses an Atom processor so will hardly be able to play many modern games.

I will however try to run Eve and report back on the FPS, it will probably be 1-5 FPS if it even loads.

The more powerful i5 and i7 tablets will run it well on low settings but their battery life is so crap 5 hours max with todays technology.

The UI is not optimised for tablet but using a digitiser pen should help being more presice on the small screen.

Anyway i will let you know in a week or so :)

This is obviously not being discussed in another thread.

How in the world can you write, and not be able to read? It makes no sense.

Am already able to play EvE on my Android phone and tablet, I would not suggest doing pvp that way though.

As someone else has mentioned, try streaming it using spashtop. Splashtop is free if you use your local wifi network. So if you have a computer room you can be in the living room watching tv and mining. Its pretty hard to navigate the menus though.

If you were networking in from work or something then you need to pay 1.99 USD/month. This method is a lot more laggier than being on your own network. I tried it for a month then cancelled the service. Will still use the local network though.

Win7 touch is enough to run EvE touchscreen

If you meant Android or iOs tablets it's less likely

Two questions.

If you can control the game using your mind, can the game control your mind in return?

And on a related note, I wonder if a Tinfoil hat adversely affects game play?

Or a laptop touchscreen interface? Touch select and gestures to control targeting, warping, info, panning, zooming, etc. Or is that just too LCARS. :-p

Definitely possible if you have powerful enough hardware or use a cloud gaming service. Good luck!

After 10 years CCP still cannot design decent interface for PC (fleet window, overview).

Now imagine how many years it will take for them to make whole new interface for tablet (+ port client to iOS / Android / WinRT).

Windows tablets already have a god awful interface, so Eve will fit right in.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
