Quick web interface question regarding petition submissions.

Good day EVE,

Have a quick question, and I hope someone has had some experience with this before.

Filed a petition this morning from the website, as I am at work and won't have access to my client till much later this evening.
After I clicked submit, a page loaded with a seven digit number listing that this was the response number. I checked later in the day, and logged into my petitions page from the web, but I don't see the petition I filed this AM listed under my petitions.

It's been so long since I've filed a petition, I forgot how they worked.

Will it populate on my petitions page once a GM has started looking into the issue, or does it populate right away?
Like I said, I can't remember how it works.
