To anyone currently training or considering training these skills, please note that current plans are to remove their effects from hardeners. Whether these skills are still worthwhile is up to you, of course, but don't expect them to help you when you cap out any more.

yeah... and this would be the third, indirect, nerf to the drake. first being a direct nerf on the hull, second a nerf on the weapon system. and with the usually hinted Tracking disruption change in the horizon one can only wonder who will ever undock one of those poor fat bastards anymore.

typical CCP, nerfing the same thing from multiple directions... same with lvl4s, incursions, etc... the result is always overkill.

many people see the drake as a step up from the caracal, now its actually a step down. if only they would realize that the ship needs to lose its reliance on a monster tank, and switch that "stat budget" into some speed... we wouldn't run into the "drake tank" problem every 6 months. it actually sad to see a drake get poped in seconds after a neut, which he simply can't evade due to being slow as a fossilized turd. good night fat prince, you will be missed. Cry

sorry, for the semi off topic comment, i just don't know what else to add to whats already said and i don't want this to get buried.

If you use passive modules, the skills are still useful.

Who doesn't use EANM with armor tanks. For shield, I like to use passive resist amplifiers when fitting or capacitor is tight.

I have them all trained to 5. I don't regret it, but others may have different priorities.

EDIT: I wonder if reactive armor hardeners will be affected by changes. They currently don't adapt when inactive, but still give full resistances. This is sort of a design feature I thought though. They however are not affected by the skills.

Armor comps will still be very important to EANMs.

Shield comps are going to become even more of a joke.

IMO:

It is a serious nerf to Caldari slot/rig usage. Because every Caldari ship will have to fit *something* to cover that zero EM hole.

My god what were they smoking THAT day?

Again, HAM drakes are totally viable...
