Is the price falling good or bad? I am always confused. On General Discussion it seems like a good thing, on Market Discussion its bad. All I know is I always miss the boat on these market things all the time.

Why not, everybody seems to end up predicting plex prices to rise to that level everytime it goes up at all anyways.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Well, think about it. If it drops, people who are bying them with real money and trading them in game for an isk injection loose out on what profit they get per dollar. If it jumps, people who plex their acounts loose out since they have to make more isk per plex to keep their accounts open. Either way you slice it, plex prices moving at all is going to **** someone off and make the other happy.

Sure, back when veld was selling sub 2. Miners buy PLEX to fund their multiple accounts (I'm running 4 and thinking about re-subbing my 5th). Price of minerals go up, we're willing to run more accounts as it takes less hours of work to get the PLEX, then price of PLEX follows.

You have to compare the price of the PLEX to the price of miners and focus on the man-hours of labor to fund you accounts to understand the movement of PLEX prices.

I'm like a 3rd world factory worker... Putting in 40 hours a month at 50 million ISK an hour to get 2B ISK a month I need to fund my $60 worth of accounts. Woot, woot... $1.5 an hour the PVPer that funds his losses with PLEX is paying me to grind ISK for him.

Excuse me for being a bit daft but, do you actually *play* this game at some point, I mean like PvP anything being markets or ships wise?
I was a miner, so I know how much non-work is involved in mining, probably the worst thing in EVE with POS and corp management at the second place.

You just mine to pay for your accounts and that's it? Shocked

you say that like every one wants plex to go the same way?

tip: never in history has there been a situation where every one agrees on anything.

Apart from all supers must die.

I have no strong feeling on Supers. They do look really cool and their existence has no effect on me. Therefor I do not think all supers must die. Moar Supers for the proletariat!

Your bias is showing... You only consider it to be "really playing EVE" if PVP is involved. How come people working together to build something isn't just as much "playing EVE" as blowing stuff up or screwing with other people?

About half of what I earn goes to PLEX... 10 hours a week to fund my account and another 10 hours a week to be able to buy stuff I want. I recently dropped 2B on a second orca and 3 more hulks so that I wouldn't have to move my first set of ships long distances when one area is mined out.

I sometimes get bored mining, so I also have a couple nicely fit macherials for mission running.

I do have a pretty expansive set of BPOs, but I rarely use them any more. I found the building aspect of the game to be quite cumbersome. I've played the penny wars in high sec trade hubs, but these days I find it more profitable to just put the minerals up in large sell orders. I find that people will pay more for big orders so that they don't have to fly all over with their freighters gathering up lots of small purchases.

PVP? Nah.

It just isn't nearly as profitable as shooting rocks or red +s.

Oh dear god its happening! My PLEX based retirement and investment portfolios are failing! Im going broke! CCP needs to fix this NAOW!!!!!!! Im climbing to the top floor of my office building now to hurl myself off due to hopelessness.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Funny how I have pretty much invested in PLEX as my retirement plan as I have been converting all of my ISK over the last few months to PLEX. I see it as ISK fluctuations more than PLEX fluctuations since one PLEX will (hopefully) always be worth one month game time which is relatively static with the USD. I suppose technically PLEX value does dip a bit when CCP does deals, I love power of two, but only by a bit. ISK has recently gotten more valuable, while the PLEX value is still the same.
