so i wanted to do some simple lvl4 courier missions to increase standing aso. (in sec 0.5 or 0.6 systems) and from what i understand they will sometimes send you into low sec systems.

now i have never had any problems in low with my blockade runner so i was thinking to maybe just take an agent in a 0.1 system right away.

does anyone know how much more cash/standing/LP more that would actually bring?

if its not really substancially more then i'll just use the 0.6 agents and autopilot all the lame high sec missions.

I'm sure someone will have the exact number, but I tried some couriers recently and have no intention of doing them again.

My impression (memory and not from notes) is that:
- A courier mission returns 1/10th, or less, what a similar level encounter mission does;
- An encounter mission at one level lower (e.g. lvl3 c.f. lvl4) returns more than a courier at a higher level;
- Encounter missions are on-average quicker to complete (obviously some exceptions, but encounters generally quicker overall);
- Couriers into lowsec from hisec suck ... even though they are not often into very active lowsec systems.

Of course, some corps don't provide any / many encounter agents so running couriers often seems the way to go. I encountered this with Ytiri (working on standings for epic arc agent access) but have found myself preferring to stick to the very limited low-level encounter agents rather than the higher level couriers.

I'm told, though, that some people enjoy and prefer courier missions.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.
