the ability to use nanite repair paste on drones when they are in the drone bay

and small and medium sentry drones.
At the end of the game both the pawn and the Queen go in the same box.

Small/med/large sentries would make sense, caldari drones shooting missiles would make sense too, a bonus to drone effects and a sexy new domi to????
They re-skinned the megathron to make it look more up to date. Wonder if they are planning on overhauling the rest?

Drones are a pain to manage in actual combat when the bloods pumping i agree with the F9 option. As it stands now in pvp flying a drone boat defiantly has its drawbacks and a new drone UI is in order.

Things that need done:

1. Do....*something*... with the overall UI on the silly things. My computer barely runs EVE as it is, and with the lag I get in the clouds that are now in every mission navigating all those right click menus for every little thing is getting really, really old.

2. Do... *something*... with their survivability. They are the only destructible weapon system. Surely there is some middle ground between 'easy as pie to pop' and 'lolz, immune' that the things could inhabit. T2 Resists, signature reduction, ACTIVE REPAIR, overall hp buff... something. The new AI is groovy and PVE has so much work that needs done to it... but Retribution made me finally buy a Kronos and I usually don't bother even popping drones out of it anymore.

3. They are the primary weapons system of a whole line of Gallente ships, a few Amarr ships, and of course the carriers of all races. Please support them as such with proper lines of implants, boosters, modules and faction varients of the drones themselves. Missles, Turrets, even most Ewar and stuff like smartbombs have a whole range of meta levels from crap through amazing officer mods available. Some movement has been made on this front as well, but much more needs done. As a side note, I understand why the drone damage amplifier was made a low slot module, but could it not have followed the other drone mods and been Mid Slot? An overview and overhaul of existing drone mods with an eye toward consistancy is overdue.

- Drone attack groups no longer use specific drones, but drone types instead. Launch an attack group of, say, 3 hobs and 2 hammers and the system will choose which ones to use from the many the ship has in the bay.
- UI improvements. Just give us what you showed at fanfest.
- AI improvements. Make drones intelligent, or at least less dumb.
- Stats rebalance. Consider everything that's available now for drone users.
- Graphics improvements. We need new models and textures that are more "authentic" (guns no longer shooting perpendicularly).
- Behaviour algorithms. Let me program my drones, let me tell them to only attack player frigates that are aggressing me at a distance of 10km or less (and other stuff).

Give me this and I will give my first-born to CCP.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

This. Modular drones???? Programmable settings would be awesome. They are combat rones in space after all> Surely they have advanced enough ai that we pod pilots can set them more parameters other than "aggressive" or "passive".

I'd like a captured rogue drone ship. I figure we have the captured pirate faction ships, why not the rogue drone ones?

The new aggro in missions. The aggro shift should be gradual like it would be in real life. As it is now, it functions as if one intelligence is controlling the entire fleet and they all shift targets at once firing on the exact same target in unison. In real life, a commander would give a command to his fleet and then they would each respond as they are able to react. This would also mean some may target differect targets or not at all. Otherwise, we should have the ability to fit each drone with modules similar to our own ships so they have a fighting chance against a entire fleets alpha strike.

I do like the idea of the different color flasheys to indicate a drone being targeted and the drone module to deploy drones as a weapons module.

id love to see a different kind of "sentry drone" that when deployed stay with your ship (effectivly acting like turrets) possably gravity tethered or something.. OR let us use tractors on our sentrys so we can drag em around :P downside is extra energy use from 5x tractors.

(1) Drones do not auto-attack anything unless I target it and press 'F'. And once they start shooting something, they keep shooting that same thing until it dies or I tell them not to.

(2) NPCs do not shoot drones. Full stop.

EvE is supposed to suck.  Wait . . . what was the question?

1. It's called "Passive" mode, right there in your drone interface. Drones always shoot stuff until it dies or you tell them to stop.

2. I was thinking of something witty to say, but honestly, not worth my time. EVE is not for you, go play something else.

Stop their MWD sig bloom.

Different sized sentries is a fabulous idea - or some other mechanism to eliminate travel time/vulnerability


This might not be popular but it would be nice if (since there are hosts of other weaknesses) that the drones had selectible damage a-la missiles, without gimping their overall damage. For instance I can't think of any real reason to use an Acolyte over a Hobgoblin, for example.

  1. Setting to change drone lauch order. As it is now (by displayed order??) or damage (%) on drone(no/low damaged first). Reduces launching of damaged, near death drones
  2. Indicators in Drones windows next to each launched drone (righthand side) if they are targeted (yellow), locked upon(red), webbed..
  3. Buttons in Drone window before each launched drone (left handside) for performing operations. At least recall to bay
  4. T2 drones proper T2 resist to better withstand current NPC onslaught on drones
  5. Drones not reducing speed when there are enemies around to reduce being damaged. Especially when idling between targets and for scout drones
  6. Display of HP for Drones in Bay (less important if first one has been done)

I think if my space shoe looked the same, but my drones looked like flying laser turrets of laser spewing death, I would be OK.

But my turrets look like fragile kite frames and I sit in a big Shoe.
