How many of you knew that there is a system in Hi Sec, accessible through Hi Sec, that has 50 belts?

The ore isn't the best, but it would take a while to clean it out. Big smile

You are assuming that OP is a real miner that puts in effort. Don't make that mistake, OP is a Mining Drone.

I think the majority of characters posting in this thread don't even log into the game, regardless if there is or isn't an actual shortage of Asteroids.

EDIT:

I wouldn't be surprised if Asteroid Belts in high security have indeed been nerfed. Just like how most everything else pertaining to high security has been recently nerfed, it's only a matter of time before the roids get hit.

So, which nerfs are you talking about?

The only recent HS nerf I can think of is the Incursion nerf.

The only change is the Venture. That means that newbies who log in after restart who have miner dreams can actually shred all the belts near them for a jump or three, leaving everyone else to rage 'zomg no asteroids i dont pay to have things be mined out arglbrgl' the rest of the day.

Early bird gets the 'roids in the most popular systems.

Some timezones make it easier to log in right after downtime than others, which does suck.

Which is a broken mechanic.....Why are spawns done at downtime....a real sandbox would have roids spawning randomly....

You know I have always thought random space events in a system would rock(Pun Intended). How cool would it be for a rare comet spawn to be slowly pacing its way through a system and could be mined by more mobile miners etc., and the ores from it would be well worth the effort.

p.s. I in no way touch rocks other then to see what my missiles look like flying outta my ship when I am bored.

Flaming aside, there simply is no shortage of belts to mine. I've checked as late as half an hour before reset, there are belts all over highsec, including 0.9 systems, completely untouched, every day.

People just don't want to make 3 or 4 jumps to get their payday.

What? Implying thatblack people don't do effort or go to work and have paying jobs. Black people put in effort too! Just cause they stole a bicycle or a car once or set up the gambling ring in your highschool doesn't mean you can lump them all together like this! Racist!

Hey buddy, I hate to break it to you but WW2 is over... your side lost.

Most of what is being posted here is either off topic, or designed to display the ignorance (not stupidity) of the poster. If you want to learn about mining, the only way to do it is to mine, and keep records, and notes, and use spreadsheets to figure out what is the most efficient use of your time.

I've been mining for years. In Hi Sec and Null. I could tell you what you really want to know, but why should I? No one told me. You need to find out for yourself.

5. Ranting is prohibited
A rant is a long-winded, redundant post, often filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and helpful in the development of the game, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.

6. Personal attacks are prohibited.
Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts that are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated. Corporation, faction and alliance members and other players are cautioned to avoid allowing “in character” disputes from becoming "out of character" personal attacks. The game is designed for role-playing and/or portraying a role and it is sometimes easy for tempers to flare when the lines between the virtual world and the real world are crossed. Please keep in-game disputes in the game and off the forum unless it is clearly a mutual, in-character exchange.

7. Trolling is prohibited.
Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the players. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not contribute to the sense of community we want for our forums.

20. Post constructively.
Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil, factual manner. Tell us what you don't like and why and how you feel it could be improved. Posts that are not constructive, insulting or rude may be deleted, no matter how valid the ideas behind them may be.

24. Off-topic posting is not allowed.
Off-topic posts are not prohibited but should be posted within reason. Excessive off-topic posts that derail a thread may result in the thread being locked.

As it has devolved into trolling and OP-bashing, this thread has run its course. Locked.
