Much better improved.

I think you can still push the positioning customization a bit more, but I"m glad you're addressing this right now.

I can't wait to see some of the more advanced feature sets soon!

Quick thought :

Would it be possible for the autopilot route to draw the green line from you to the stargate and then out to space?

Just chewing ideas.

Why the **** is Hek a 0.3 in Heimatar ???

Edit: Anyway ... things look good. :D
Wasn't actually a secret that the stars on screen were the actual stars in the galaxy, btw. ^_^

I'm just going to say that you guys have impressed me with the content you've been putting out lately.

i believe you're in a great phase of making things more intuitive and less "this is just how you do it, just because", and it sorta makes me proud that I've seen you "grow up" over the years.

The UI has always been clunky and full of strange workarounds. The work you have all been putting into it the last year or so (Really, what, since Crucible?) has been amazing, and has made an entire world of difference.

Bravo! Encore!

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

First, I'm agree with the voiced opinions that those panels would be better implemented as movable windows and/or accessed via neocom instead of icons which permanently stuck on the screen. Now few little suggestions for autopilot:

Autopilot panel has been around for a couple of years but I (don't know how widespread this is) still can't get used to one aspect of those colored boxes: where is start of the route and where is the end? It's supposed to be obvious that writing direction from right to left is used but for some reason it's always confusing at the first glance. So what about adding eighter "Next" and "Dest" labels to make it easier to get direction (Fig. A.1) or an icon of spaceship at the beginning of the route to denote current position (Fig. A.2)? Or replacing boxes with the arrows (Fig. A.3)?

Another feature that will help traders remotely manage their orders and query regional prices would be a way to see region boundaries on the route like it is shown on the Fig. B.1 (looks better imho) or Fig. B.2 (probably would be easier to implement).

Also, looking at the mockups of future panels it looks like you are aiming for quite high degree of customizability so it may be worth asking for an option to hide constellation information from autopilot route and current location panels (show "SYSTEM SS < REGION" instead of current "SYSTEM SS < CONSTELLATION < REGION")? I play EVE for 9 years and can't imagine why one would be interested in constellation info (maybe for incursions only?) while hiding it will improve interface clarity.

That would be why you are confused. Either you have your right and left mixed up or you are used to RTL languages.

English is read left to right, dude.

Major thumbs up.

Any improvements aimed at providing customizable, change on the fly information using the smallest amount of screen real estate possible is a huge win that benefits every player in the game.

Excellent call, excellent work.

Good improvement on the info already there - especially looking forward to seeing what comes of the notifications panel.

Is it possible to highlight each agent mission once it is completed, either by colouring the mission name or placing a tick next to it?

Sure thing, boss. While we were mainly focused on getting the old content into a shiny new system, we did manage to drag in some cool new stuff, the most significant thing arguably being the migration of the autopilot settings from a place that makes practically no sense at all (the map panel) over to a place that actually does (the new Autopilot Route Info panel). As a result, the old routine of multiple clicks, confusion and moderate swearing has been replaced with a single click. We must admit that we were very tempted to do a more extensive cleanup of how you manage the autopilot route (see mockup below) but that will have to wait its turn.

dat mockup. Holy ****, do it. Do it now.

Awesome, but I feel we're not getting away from "spreadsheets in space" with this.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

My goodness. Looks slick and useful.

Will we ever be able to move the info panels to different points on our screen?

We hope you like the Info Panels! We would very much like to develop the 'Work in progress' stuff in the blog so please give us your thoughts on those too.

You have my approval. You should work on making the overview and right-click menus better, too.

Can we get the option to move the panel? Right now it's the only UI element that can't move at all. I keep local on the left side of my screen. If you want to add planets and stuff to the list then I'll need some way to get more room, or move the panel.

Can you add functionality that allows us to have 'bookmarks'/'saved locations' in the info-panels?

I was making an Alt the other day, and as I took it through a couple of tutorial missions I noticed the Info-panel options that allowed you to just click, and 'warp to XYZ mission site' - right away, I was struck by how useful something like that would be for navigating safespots/gatewatch positions etc. while scouting/hunting.

(instead of right-clicking in space, and navigating a sub-hierarchy of options to find the right one)

While you're messing about with UI stuff, Is it too bold to suggest a toggle somewhere that would allow us to return to the "old" functionality of minimizing windows to the bottom of the screen rather than back into the neocom? There are several situations where the "new" system is, dare I say it, inferior to the old.
