Missile effects, fixed then re-broken

Okay, so when the BEAUTIFUL new missile effects first first came out... they looked great ( even too great ), and not surprisingly destroyed frame rates. I could be getting 150+ frames per second, (most settings maxed, shadows off, AA medium, postproc off), but whenever a missile was hitting and exploding on my ship, frames would drop below 40 at times, never above 70... disappointing but, like I said, not surprising. So I turned effects off and didn't get to enjoy them.

Then... much TO my surprise, the other day I was ratting and noticed my frames seemed high, while missiles were indeed exploding all over me. I checked my FPS graph and it was no trick, CCP had apparently fixed/optimized missile effects, and my frames were staying above 150 with missile effects turned on, even while a missile, or several, was blowing up on my hull.

Awesome! Way to go CCP, I was seriously impressed... then,

not a day later, a small (tiny) patch gets downloaded, and lo-and-behold, simply having missile effects turned ON in the menu, even if they're not yet exploding on my hull (just flying through space), my frames sit at 70ish... yuck.

If anyone else notices this, please support this thread and keep it at the top of CCP's attention, in hopes that it will be fixed (as I thought it already had). Obviously it's possible, please RE-optimize missile effects, so I can enjoy them. As of now, they stay off and I enjoy 170 fps instead.
