I'm getting the launcher patch bug again. Gets to 15%, says file is corrupted and asks to try again. Previous patch went fine, but the one before that i was unable to patch then too. I believe it was 467201.

Tried getting the patch from another thread and importing, didnt work. Tried launching from exe in bin folder, downloaded from login screen, back to launcher which started to verify client and then began building patch, failed again.

Srsly CCP why does this keep happening? Logging was on in launcher options.

Same issue here as well. I also get the same error when trying to update my SiSi launcher. Filed a bug report and was told to try again in a couple of days (for the SiSi launcher). Tried again about 5 days later and still the same problem. Went to ling into eve today (at 10:30 US EST) and was met with this error on my main Tranq client. Going to file both a Petition and a Bug report and hopefully be able to get a workaround.

Repair tool is useless also. Last time i had this issue it damn near screwed my install. Luckily ive got into the swing of keeping a full client installer as close to last build as possible on my external HD. It wouldnt be so bad if it only happened every now and then but this is two out of three patches its happened to me this month.

Try to find file "EVE_Online_471766-473035_win.patch".
I got it from another computer which had the game patched.
It seems that their patch file has somehow become corrupted, while an earlier of the day version is not.

I copied the patch file from my laptop which got updated much earlier of the day, and its working fine.

Did this happen in Sisi a couple days back or did it just happen?

Is it possible for you to upload the .patch file so that we can download a working copy and get our clients back up and running?

Then that's just stupid. What the hell is QA doing if you reported the exact same error on the test server and they seem to have done and accomplished absolutely nothing about it?!

Somebody in CCP needs to begin expecting a severance package really soon.

Got a corp mate to upload a copy of the most recent patch file. Once I confirm it is working, I will post the link here so you can DL the new patch and get back in game.

it now seems that the problem isnt with he patch file itself, but rather with a repar.dat file that is downloaded whether you use the automatic update or import option.

here is the link for the patch file. hopefully it works for you

I "fixed" it by doing a clean uninstall and re-downloaded the whole 5.18GB client.

Ok, after further searching of the forums, I found, what I hope to be the saving grace in everything. The problem seems to stem from a corrupted launcher on OUR side of the house. Following the steps laid out by the GM, it would seem that my client is now able to patch to the current build, and get up and running finally. Here is the instructions from the GM:

This particular issue and its' solution was brought to our attention earlier by the launcher team. The following steps should resolve the problem:

1. Delete the Launcher folder which can be found in your EVE Online client folder.
2. Download the launcher installer from the following URL:

http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/launcherInstaller/EVEOnlineLauncher_1_32_tq.exe

3. Once downloaded can you run the .exe file and direct the launcher to your client installation when prompted.
4. Once the launcher installation is complete can you start the launcher using the 'EVE Online Launcher' link which can be found in your clients folder.

If you see that your account settings have gone (your username will not be visible in the login screen) then simply restart the launcher and client.

***UPDATE*** Sorry for getting your hopes up, Launcher slowly crawled up to 15.0%, then same as before, crashed with the error message from hell.

I can't believe the launcher is so bad for this game.
It takes me a few hours even for a small patch. doing a full reinstall right now but if i have problems again i'm done with this game.

Patched fine at home yesterday. Today at work its unable to patch. And i have limited MB here so fixing it via download the full client again is not an option. I guess no eve for me tonight Roll
