Oh this is really great! Great quality. Great stories. It really scratches my new EVE Online itch when I'm stuck on the interstate. Too bad I can't pay attention to them and play EVE at the same time! I've bookmarked the Eve Reader website. It's top 10 for sure!

Take an unusual main character, add in a non-Empire faction fighting psychic evil, artifacts of great power... and pamphlets. This was CCP Abraxas' first Chronicle, for the curious.

If I'm not mistaken, the adventures of the main character are continued in the Black Mountain series of Chronicles. If you enjoyed this story, I'd recommend reading those as well - it's a long series but a good one. And, yes, I've given thought to recording that series... although I'd need quite some time to record it all!

You can download this episode from The Eve Reader Website. I am also pleased to report that the Elite Squad of Hamsters assigned to the task of repairing the iTunes feed has reported tentative success, so hopefully this episode (and the prior two episodes) will appear in the feed soon.

This episode is dedicated to a particular Eve player. He knows who he is.

Absolutely brilliant. These stories are brought to life fantastically through audio format. Each and every one is well worth downloading for those who have yet to listen to them. Thanks for putting them out there.

Last night I attended the Eve Lore Panel hosted by the folks at Hydrostatic Podcast. I was impressed by both the quality and the depth of lore analysis by panelists, and several times the “Prophecies of Macaper” were mentioned in connection to recent and upcoming events. Inspired by the enthusiasm of the panelists and the panel audience, I decided to record this Chronicle today.

You can download this episode from The Eve Reader Website. Podcast RSS feeds should be up to date and the iTunes feed will update soon (if not by now already).

During the course of the panel, several people recommended Chronicles for future recording. Two in particular caught my attention and are the next on my list - Two Deaths and Taught Thoughts.

Yay! Glad you enjoyed it, and very happy to hear that you'll be recording the winner of the Pod & Planet contest again this year.

Well done on this critical Chronicle, as always!

In the lore of New Eden, both the Amarr Empire and the Gallente Federation share an uncomfortable commonality – at one point in their histories, they were betrayed by a member of their leadership. Both the corrupt former Chamberlain of the Amarr and the former Grand Admiral of the Federation became hunted men within known space, evading those they betrayed… for a time. Eventually, each was caught and brought to justice. This chronicle tells the story of their ultimate fate.

This particular episode was suggested by the audience at the Eve Lore Panel. Thank you for the excellent suggestion!

You can download episode #37 from The Eve Reader Website.

Enjoy!

Zendane do you still do requests? This is a smaller chronicle which I think only need one voice actor.

Today's episode is a recording of the Pod and Planet 2014 competition's winning entry, Borrowed Time. This is the story of a drone engineer and, in the author's words, "bad things happening to average people in an uncaring universe."

Thank you Kirith Kodachi for writing such a great story and thank you Telegram Sam for holding the fiction contest again this year. It has been my pleasure to record this episode.

You can download episode #38 from The Eve Reader Website and you can read the story on the author's website here.

Yes I still do requests and I'll look into it. The STAR folks do a lot for the players and hopefully they'd like that.

It has been a bit since I've released an episode - the project is still active! I apologize for the delay and I intend to get the next episode out as soon as I can.

Today's episode - "Taught Thoughts" - is the story of a classroom teacher fighting back against those that seek to revise history. I particularly liked this Chronicle because it deals with morals but it is not a black-and-white story about good and evil. Just because there are bad guys doesn't mean that there are good guys, and that's a lesson hard-learned as we all enjoy the shared universe of Eve.

I think many of the chronicles that deal with grey areas. Many regular people who take a bad turn and do a lot of damage. And more shady people who do something that in the is good for other people and dont have altruistic intetion or motive. Cant give a good example have to read trough some of the chronicles again ;)

Incursions – the defense of New Eden systems versus Sansha’s Nation – are an integral part of the game. But what does one look like? What would it feel like to be one of the helpless millions on the planet below, watching the terrifying force of the marauding Sansha invade their system… and the even more terrifying prospect of having the capsuleers “save” them?

You can download episode #40 "Uplifted" from The Eve Reader Website.

On another note, my original intention was to start on one of the longer series within the Chronicles, specifically the novella "Ruthless." I've had to back away from that project for a while because of coordination issues. I'm coming to learn that when it comes to larger projects I have definite boundaries on what I can and cannot accomplish. My wife says I need an agent and a producer. :) Nevertheless, I'm glad to be able to record and put out the relatively simpler stories such as this one and I hope you enjoy it.

You're welcome!

I keep wanting to try the Black Mountain series, but I just didn't like how the first episode turned out. I'll look into re-recording it, or finding a different one.

One issue with the Chronicles in general keeps bothering me. There has been a resurgence of lore within Eve over the last year or so but I haven't seen any Chronicles to go with this new lore. I would be happy to read some material regarding recent events - and if I'm missing something please point me in the right direction!

Shot down deep behind enemy lines just short of their assigned objective, a Caldari covert operations team races against time to complete their mission. This Chronicle - "For the State" - is just as much about their struggle as it is about the indomitable spirit of the Caldari military.
