Episode 17 - Silent Furies - is now available at the The Eve Reader Website. This was a special request and is part of a larger story arc that involves the published Eve novels.

I've already finished recording the episode after that and hope to have it up soon, once I finish editing it.

Great stuff Zendane. I've only listened to the first 4 so far, but it's all been great.

I actually found out about your stuff by listening to the "High Drag Podcast." They gave you a shout-out and were quite adamant on how excellent the work you produce is. They were correct.

You may want to get in contact with some of the other podcasting guys out there. I don't know which ones appreciate eve backstory, but you definitely deserve some more publicity.

Keep up the good work,

Zaitsev

Thank you! I listened to that podcast as well (after being turned on to it earlier today by the author of the Emergent Patroller blog) and I'm pleased to hear that you like the recordings! I think you'll especially enjoy Episode 4 onward, as from that point onward I was using newer hardware and software for recording and editing.

I would appreciate advice on how to reach the Eve podcasters at large since this is a new community for me.

I just started listening to your podcast a few days ago after just searching for 'Eve Lore Podcasts"

I absolutley love it! I've only heard the first 2 episodes and they were excellent. I think this is a lot better than just having someone explain the lore. I had chills down my spine duing the second cast hearing Omvistus speak.

Look forward to hearing more!

hey Zendane,I see you got yourself onto the eve podcasts website. nicely done. that will definitely get you some more listeners.

I saw on this thread that you had uploaded episode 17. just wanted to let you know that it did not come up on the rss feed, nor has it popped up in iTunes. Maybe there's just a delay, but you might want to check the coding on the website.

once again, keep up the great work.

Episode 18 - After the Fall - is now available at the The Eve Reader Website. This is the story about a man living under the rule of the Caldari on occupied Caldari Prime. The events of this story tie in nicely with recent events such as the fall of the Titan.

For the curious, the next two episodes have already been recorded and are in post-production. Yes, there is a theme to these three episodes - "Oppression."

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm not sure why the iTunes feed isn't working and I have dispatched an elite squad of hamsters to investigate the issue. Ideally it'll be fixed as soon as possible.

Episode 19 - Under the Sea, the City - is now available at the The Eve Reader Website. In this episode we see how the Caldari treat the Gallente on occupied Caldari Prime, and how one Gallente fights back against the invaders.

This is in continuing the theme - the next episode, concluding the Trilogy of Caldari Oppression, is already recorded and is in post production.

I'm still working out why iTunes is not updating the feed. For the technically minded, the RSS feed used by iTunes is updating with the latest episodes, but iTunes is still stuck at Episode 16. As soon as I can get it worked out I'll get that feed working again, but in the meantime I encourage iTunes users to visit this page containing a list of all episodes so you can download any episodes you've missed.

I'm running through these on commute to work and it really makes the time fly :)

Just finished the methods of torture episodes... feel quite bad being a Gallente right now

Are you planning on doing anything else after the chronicles are finished?

Hi Mr Veda, I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the recordings!

I don't have any plans after finishing the Chronicles, but seeing as there are so many of them, this particular project will keep me occupied for quite some time. Beyond that? I know I've gained proficiency in both recording and production with each episode, and I'd enjoy putting that experience to use in other areas.

But, y'know, I have a day job and all that. :)

Zendane

P.S. Wrapping up editing on the next episode, ideally out soon in the next day or two.

Heya Zendane,
Have you heard anything more about the iTunes not picking up ep's?

I have finished 16 and craving more but need that pesky itunes to update. Sad

Excellent work, sir. I am loving these!

Good news - the problem with the iTunes feed has been located and a fix has been applied. When I loaded the iTunes player on my computer and went to "Refresh Podcast" it found the three most recent episodes.

The start page still only goes up to episode 16 and that should update itself soon, but the "missing" episodes are available now and should transfer via iTunes to your computer.

No elite hamsters were harmed during the fixing of this problem. :)

Episode 20 - Murder and Creation - is now available at the The Eve Reader Website. This is the story of a worker within the massive Caldari machine that awakens to the world around him.

This concludes the "Trilogy of Oppression" series, and now on to other Chronicles!

Great work as always. Can't wait till the next one.

Don't know if you followed up with Random McNally's offer to start you on the podcast circuit to get your name out, but i had another idea that you may like. Pod and Planet is having a fiction contest. http://hullabalutions.blogspot.com/

i bet they would love for you to do some voice acting for the winning fics. you'd get some more exposure for evereader, and the writers of the competition fics would potentially get a broader audience too. Just something I thought about.

Anyways, glad to see that the podcasts are auto-updating to itunes now, that definitely makes it easier to find them.

thanks for your work,

Zaitsev

EDIT: I see you already were involved in the fiction contest so disregard that part. looking forward to hearing that one too.

Just FYI I'm using an Android podcast app with just your RSS link to the episodes and 17, 18 and 19 are still not being picked up.

Not a massive issue for me, I downloaded the Mp3s, but I thought you'd like to know

I would like to do an audio book, in fact I've been looking at two of the Eve novellas - Theodicy and Ruthless - as possibilities for a longer term project. Ruthless in particular looks like it would lend itself well to an audio format since it has a very modular structure with a good balance of dialogue and description.

What app are you using for the Android? I have an Android phone as well, I'd like to test it and see if I can determine the problem. Something made episodes 17 through 19 different. When the iTunes problem was handled I thought this was solved, but seeing as there are still issues I'd like to get this figured out once and for all.

Regarding the Pod and Planet fiction contest that Zaitsev mentioned - yes, I volunteered to record the final winning entry in audio format. I'm really looking forward to doing this!
