I like many of you have been playing this wonderful game for a long while. Since 2008 if you look at my corp history. I remember when i first started playing and wanted to start pewpewing people, I would avoid people that were older than me thinking that I didn't stand a chance since they were older.(I realize now if you know what your doing age does not really matter). I think i would consider myself one of those old bitter vets i was afraid of back in the day now. So the question is, how old do you guys think a toon has to be before he can be considered one of those old bitter vets?

When everyone else is a prick, things were better before, and when everything is such a pain. Also, people ask you why you play eve and the only thing you can come up with is, "I've invested too much time not to play it"

You're probably a bittervet by now, but there will always be people bitterer and veteraner. P

Mathematically:

Draw a curve of all players, with a player's skillpoints on one axis and the number of players on a second axis. You will get a diagram showing a lot more low-SP players than high-SP players.

:

::::
:::::::
::::::::::::
::::::::::::::::::
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

(It would look something like this.)

At the point where this curve reaches 45 degrees and gets flat towards the highest SP players do you find the vets.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

definitely my favorite response so far. I like how no one has given a definite age in years yet, I would have pegged it somewhere between 2 and 3 years myself.

After 187pds for 5.11 ft, you become vet. Vets play all day long, are taller (or not) and fatter than that (for sure). Lol

But in years.. Im not sure if there is a real answear to that since it really is not about SP but more about what you have done/seen. If you can truthfully say that you have done most/everything in EVE i would say you qualefy as a bitter vet.

In all my time playing eve that is the first time i have seen that picture. I guess I'm at about the only 14 bil more mark haha. As for having done/seen everything, as far as combat goes i can more or less say that i have tried it all. The only thing I think I am missing at the moment is faction warfare, which is really just high sec warfare with more people.

I'm so old that I get nostalgia about having nostalgia. P

Also, bittervet with awesomely fond memories of this game in what he saw as its heydey reporting in. Cool

EDIT: You're definitely old if you know what the GNW (Great Northern War) is.

When you've been fighting the same forever war against people and they're in the 3rd, 4th, 5th re-incarnation of their alliance.

Or when you can name lots of things if asked "what was better about EvE back in the good old days".
