[low sec] Sentry range changed????

o/ eve communauty

do they changed sentry aggro range and warp in?

cause my sniper and a ennemy ship got shot by them 167km away.. but before it was a 160km

Also i got bump by station where normaly i land safely


anny info about it?

It was and is 150. You have to be over 150 off the gate/station, AND over 150 off ALL gate guns un grid.
....also celestial objects and gates/stations move by some km from time to time. Update your bookmarks.

Had the same a few months back , was at approx 180+ from the nearest gun yet it fired.

Distance from the Sentry Gun doesn't and never has had ANY bearing on it firing on you.

You must be 150km from the gate or station, Thats it , You can be as close to the Sentry turret as you like it WILL NOT fire on you unless your within 150km from the entity it is gaurding. Ok Cool

Side Note: The only slight anomaly to these facts is that if you shoot at a sentry gun itself, It will shoot you back (1 shot) from whatever distance you are from the gate or station.

Maybe you are right, but I swear we had cases where all sentry guns would fire if station/gate and all other sentries where over 150 away. That is the reason we created a whole lot of bookmarks in corp.
Anyway...bookmarks need to be updated as the objects in space are moved by several km´s from time to time.

Oh i'm not saying it didn't happen, EvE is 'special' at times lol. Could have been something as simple as you the pilot toasted was slightly out of sync with the server... who knows lol.
