So much this.

This line leads me to believe that you've left upper end outliers in your average, and inadvertently skewed it upward. I could be wrong, but Mean/Median/Mode would all help determine the true value of the mechanic to most players and are fairly easy to calculate.

I know sometimes it's difficult to realize just how much you spend on incidental things each month or year, but seriously, EVE is very cheap entertainment compared to most things... If you are a smoker, smoke one less pack a week and pay for EVE, with money left over to pick up a cheap bundle of flowers for the EVE widow upstairs.

Congrats to Boom Boom Big Bounty for the biggest monocle. Cool

The pie chart is big. Put the legend text inside the pie chart slices, above the numbers, and the pink won't matter anymore.

Tldr, 'we're right, you're wrong, your experiences with bounties are a lie because we manufactured some meaningless numbers that say so.'

Everybody has a bounty. The primary purpose of bounties is random trolling. It is not a fun, meaningful, or rewarding feature for the vast majority of those who are exposed to it.

Nice hot pink charts for bounties....
Now how about some thing really usefull with those SQL skills and create a new set of Green charts for faucets & sinks that show the following information http://twostep4csm.blogspot.com/2012/03/its-econmony-stupid.html from the last few months Lol

PS: why wasn't there put a number on the ISK sink of the killing of the old bounties? I think that one time sink was great & shoulda been highlighted as a success too Smile

We don't know the reason people placed bounties on them

This needs to change. Players should be able to specify a reason, even if it's just limited to one line or something. Blink

why you people hate pink!!!

the pie chart is pink just for fun, if you have a hard time seeing different shades of pink I'll tell you the legends on the right of the pie chart are in order of the amount, the highest amount on top, lowest on bottom (highest then being displayed as the biggest slice of pie P)

I quite enjoy collecting the occasional bounty (got another one just a couple of days ago), and out of my 3 accounts I have 1 character with a bounty. I traipse around on all of those characters pretty regularly.

I see plenty of characters with bounties, and I see plenty without, just like everyone else (other than, apparently, you.)

yeah this is why we checked it out for both all characters and also characters that have logged in within the last 7 days, so we could see if EVERYBODY who logs in had bounties on them

people should totally step up their game in placing bounties and get everyone a bounty! Big smile

*Blushes*

Ack tbh Boom not having a bounty was akin to a promiscuous lady of the night not wearing a short skirt at a discotheque so it was only a matter of time post Retribution.

Hopefully ambitious capsuleer(s) with the nostrils to sniff out a good deal will assist me in liberating the burden it imposes on my shoulders.

New mechanics impacted the business model of my previous mutually beneficial legitimate business offering to the community, but suffice to say don't think many can suggest the new system isn't a vast improvement on the old one so kudos to Team Super Friends.

13000 bounties per week, 450k subscribers, 3% of subscribers affected by bounties weekly.

How do you think - what %% of players interesting in avatar gameplay? 10-20%? Or maybe 50-60%? Or maybe decent avatar gameplay could attract hundred(s) of thousands new players to the game? I still can't believe Incarna development dropped to continue development of FiS features which are interesting to minimal amount of players such as bounty hunting system where nobody is hunting for bounties.

If people have a major issue with having bounties placed on them why not allow them to buy off the bounty on a 1:1 basis. If there is a 1 billion isk bounty placed on a character allow that individual to clear their name for a small offering of 1 billion isk.
This also has a nice isk sink effect.

2:1 would be a better ISK sink Blink

i like the pink graphs but the legends color chips are too small on some to properly differentiate the coloration.

and as for the buyoff thing, it should be 5:1 obviously

You are about to engage in an arguement with a forum alt,  this is your final warning.

An expiration, like EVERY OTHER FORM OF CONTRACT IN THE GAME, would make more sense from every possible perspective. But apparantly nobody at CCP is actually concerned with making bounties not stupid. They are just concerned with doctoring numbers to make themselves feel better about an expansion cycle spent on ultimately pointless work rather than actually make it not-stupid.
