Hi,

When you right click a tab name on the overview thwere are a few options.

Two of these are load default profile (i think) and another is load bracket profile.

my question is what are brackets and what does the load bracket profile option do?

thanks in advance

Brackets are the symbols (icons) you see when in space.

The bracket set can differ from the overview set.

Example: You may want to see all brackets in space, but not all of them on your overview or it gets cluttered.

Default Shortcuts:

ALT Z [show all brackets]
ALT SHIFT Z [hide brackets]
ALT SHIFT X [toggle special brackets]

The overview lets you select a profile for the things you want to see on it.

You can use the same profiles and apply them to the icons in space.

It means you can have an overview profile with only ships, gates and stations (profile1) and use another profile to show ships, gates, stations, planets, moons and belts (profile2). You then load profile1 for your overview and profile2 for the brackets in space. This will give you more information about what is in space while your overview itself stays short.
